A full rich bodied, hoppy, seasonal lager. Especially brewed for the Festbier season. This beer truly represents the Bavarian way of celebrating. Deep gold color, great mouth-feel and lots of flavor. Prost!

This is a great beer but not your typical October fare. To me there is still a familiar Pilsner lager backbone. No caramel or sweetness to speak of. Give it a try

Had at BJ's Oktoberfest dinner 2017 so took no notes. I enjoyed it though.

11.2 oz bottle poured heavily into a pint glass. 3247 17:05:47 marked on the back of bottle.

Appearance- super transparent piss yellow with a frothy white head that leaves hardly any lacing.

Aroma- cereal grains and yeast. nothing great.

Taste- light flavor. mostly cereal with maybe the slightest spicy floral hop. yeast is more if the nose than taste. not bad but nothing crazy.

Mouthfeel- light bodied. alil over carbonated.

Drinkability- probably be the last six of this stuff I ever purchase.

Overall- this brewery might be the oldest but times have changed. this beer is like a stepped up version of a American macro. not great but somewhat drinkable. after recently having a hacker pschorr Oktoberfest this beer doesn't stand close to it.

Drinkability-

L: Straw yellow due to a lighter roast on the malts used.
S: Grains with faint yeast spice with subtle hop note
T: Wow sweet malt up front with a tart yeast tint in the middle with a crisp lager finish thanks to the hops. A lingering malt aftertaste. I noted the yeast bite increases with beer temp.
F: Smooth think tiny bubbles caressing your tongue.
O: I really like this beer it is sweeter than Paulaners Oktoberfest Wiesn. I find it well balanced with a lean toward the sweet malty side of things but still a great option.

Aroma holds a strong Euro lager notes with the slightly sour but also sweet fruity character. Minimal malt. I like this, but it's not classic for the style. Very clear and lighter looking. Amber with hints of orange. Dense white head.
Clean, rich malt. Some drying on the finish and some notes of herbal hops. Feels nearly moderate and very clean.
I like the German festbiers and this one is included.
