Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-poured white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. 11.2 oz. bottle poured into a hefeweizen glass.

Pours a slightly cloudy, light straw-colored gold with two fingers of pillowy bright white foam which reduces to a thin ring with moderate lacing. Smell is a sweet blend of lemon grass, clove, banana and white pepper. Not a "strong" aroma but pleasant and intriguing.

The texture is exactly what I want in a wheat beer. Crisp carbonation on the tongue followed by a smooth light-medium body with a nice dry finish. The taste is more or less what you'd expect from the smell. Clove followed by faint citrus, banana, and a slight bitterness provided by an earthy grassy hop note. The finish is pretty clean with just a little yeasty spice lingering.

I've not had many European hefeweizens but this one is easily the best so far. Very well balanced and one of the easiest drinking beers I've ever had. I can't believe how many times I looked at this on the shelf before finally trying it. I have a whole new appreciation for the style and this will be a regular in my fridge.

Sampled back on 2/2/14 with my good friend during our Superbowl party. Comes in a 550ml (16.9 oz.) bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a beer mug with dimples.

Pours a hazy yellow/gold in color with a good 3-finger white head that does settle down to about 1/2 a finger. Lots of lacing is seen with each sip. The aroma is sweet right up front with wheat and cloves. The taste is real close to that with the slight tangy clove finish. Clean and crisp and goes down very easy. No bitter or harsh after taste at all. Very slightly dry at the end. Overall, really a great brew!

Some may say I'm generous in my 5.0 rating; make no mistake, any wheat beer lover will be won over by Weihenstephaner. Pours perfect in a weizen glass topped off with a high quality foam and colour to match. Claiming to be the worlds oldest brewery; one sip and you will easily know why they still exist.

I have always been a fan of wheat type beers, my first experience with Weihenstephaner had me instantly hooked. One sip and I knew "this is is!" Bottom line: If you like wheat beer this should be your next purchase, you can't go wrong.
