Notes / Commercial Description:
Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Poured from 500ml bottle. Marked date on bottle is '8167 11:57:23'.
Cloudy amber colored body. Impressive pillowy, white head, settles to persistent cap. Rings of lacing.
Malty aroma, with banana and cloves. Lots going on.
Taste of banana, cloves, fruity, and malt. Lots of dark bread throughout. No bitterness. Slight touch of tang.
Chewable mouth feel, lots of carbonation.
This is like a meal in a bottle. So full of complimentary tastes and aromas. Spice, fruity, and bread.

Slightly brownish amber color with a light tan head. Smelled sweet with some roasted notes. The taste was underwhelming, It's not bad, there's a slightly sour taste towards the end that kid of turned me off. Perhaps thats the style? Tasted a lot like oktoberfest beers. I was expecting more flavor, it seemed a little stale. Not sure how old it was.

Poured into a tall European vase. A murky brown color, with visible carbonation, yields a brilliantly high moussy head that threatens to spill over.
Allspice greets the nose first. Then, the aroma of fresh brown bread hints at malty goodness to come. Muted yet complex, there seems to be a bit of everything; banana, honey, bubblegum, dark fruit and apples.
The taste greets the tongue with a pillowy soft mouthfeel, sweet, nutty and with a creamy and smooth wheat texture. Light spice and a hint of tartness add a wonderful balance. Flavors of banana, caramel, and apples. Medium bodied and hearty; feels like a meal in a glass. The carbonation is soft.
Amazing brew! Subtle, elegant and sublime!
