Stopped in here earlier today, almost got run over on the way out by an SUV.. strip mall liquor store, "wine & spirits" figure large on the sign, with macro neons in the windows.

Inside, the craft beer is almost completely hidden from the front of the store. There's a T-shaped cooler that leads to the stockroom front and center, and the craft beer is on the inner side of the "T". There was a meager mix-a-six section of maybe 30 beers for $13.99, lol. Highlights of the actual beer section were FFF Black Sun (leftover Munsterfest), Lagunitas, Bells, multiple Founders, Ska Modus, Hinterland Coffee Stout ($14.99 seemed high), Finch's cans, Moosbacher Schwarz Weisse, GI 4-packs and bombers, Stone SSR, IPA, and Levitation, plus a few others. Empty spot for Gumballhead next to RtB in the cooler.

Service was friendly, got a friendly greeting upon entering, and a "looking for anything" while browsing the beer section.

Overall a decent spot for beer, but a limited selection overall with a broader focus on wine and spirits.

I tried this place out about 4 months ago. I am actually the one that suggested this place to BA. There really are not many places around Elgin besides Genos and this place for craft beer besides a few bars.

The selection is small and hit or miss. I have been in several times and noticed they have a few different beers everytime. A lot of the beers are local breweries like Goose Island and Two Brothers.

The people working there have been very nice to me every time I have been in their store. They also are very open to suggestions on other beers to bring in.

I first visited this place when it opened last fall and wasn't all that impressed by the selection. Word that they received KBS gave me a reason check it out again to see if the beers available had improved.

This place is mainly a wine store with a small craft beer section towards the back. There is one end cap that has a mix 6 pack for $13.49. Beers available for the mix 6 were a collection of Two Brothers, Goose Island and Lagunitas. Also available were Alpha King, New Holland Imperial Mad Hatter, Flying Dog Double Dog. So depending on the combination you created, you were either getting ripped off or getting decent value.

There were also mini-aisle of refrigerated beers. This had some bombers and six packs. Bombers included Goose Island beers, Lagunitas Gnarlywine & Hop Stoopid. They also had Arctic Panzer Wolf for $12.99 which is a bit more pricey than most other places. Six pack selection included Sierra Nevada beers, Ska Modus cans and New Belgium.

Looking through some of the dates on the six packs discovered some seriously past their prime beers. There was Goose Island IPA bottled in 09/2010. Sierra Nevada Kellerweiss dated like 2010 230 or something like that. Buyer beware on the date of hoppy beers.

Service was friendly. The guy chatted with me briefly about their selection. Sounds like he'll try to get more limited release stuff like KBS, etc. if you ask.

Overall it's a decent spot to go to if you're in a pinch. The selection isn't the greatest, but there aren't a ton of other options for craft beer in the immediate area. Geno's is still the best selection for the area.
