First!

The place is set up like most newer Hy-Vee W&S shops, with somewhat of a warehouse feeling, but the volume and quality of the merchandise available are quite impressive. The build a six-pack section has nearly 300 choices, that's a good start. There are several long shelves dedicated to Belgian, English, and German brews. The are nice picks like Duvel, Wychwood, Sam Smith, Spaten, Celebrator, Aventinus, a few from Unibroue. For American craft choices there's Sam Adams, Rogue, Flying Dog, Sierra Nevada, Boulevard Smoke Stack, and several state varieties like Madhouse and Millstream. Dogfish Head is almost non-existent.

About every other week they have a distributor come in and provide samples of new items. The also have a selection of mini-kegs and glassware available. Oh, if you need to get wine most likely what you're looking for they will have there, also.

The prices tend to be the area average or very close. And the fact that it's connected to a grocery store makes this store a solid retailer.
