Decent crab cake. Remember that I am from MD and filler sucks! As for the beer selection, they do keep a rotating selection of good craft beers. Also the owner is a cool guy. We mentioned that we liked sours and he brought us up a nice bottle from his cellar to share.

If you have not been to this place you really should go. They have 20 or so taps and a large bottle selection and great food as well. This was a nice surprise.
How can you go wrong with Allagash odessy on tap?serverd in a goblet too. They also seem to have a good keg stock because every once in a while they put verticals on tap.
The crab cakes are bad ass! Joey and Mike will talk to ya about beer all night long too( big beer geeks).I dont have much more to say about this place but the 500 characters thing is making me type more.

I've been to Hella's numerous times before. I would go just for the crab cakes because their beer selection wasn't the best. Well, I was there about a month ago and wouldn't you believe they had a nice tap selection.
I walked in just for a crab cake, which you can't go wrong with an 8oz. crab cake made with jumbo lump crab meat. Went to the bar and ordered my cake to go. I looked at the two towers of taps and my jaw dropped. I was looking at Schnider Aventinus, DuClaw Exile Series, almost the whole Heavy Seas line up, a few IPA's, and I believe a stout. I did not ask to see a bottle list, but saw a few patrons drinking macro bottles.
The service has always been good here. There is a hostess as soon as you walk in and they are prompt to seat you as they have a lot of seating available.
I have not tried anything else on the menu besides the crab cakes because they are so good. They serve Greek fare.
Now that I know they stepped up their taps, the next time I stop in I'll have to a lot more time so I can have a pint or two before getting my cake to go.
