Thick pour, pitch black, fine dark espresso head with excellent retention. Bourbon, maple syrup, oak and some dark cherries in the nose Bourbon, maple syrup, oak and dark cherries in the taste. Bitter and sweet aftertaste, with a thick and oily body. World class beer, I would have this again any day.

Impressive offering from Omnipollo. I have had this bottle for a few months and was recently warned by a friend that one he recently drank was starting to turn—luckily no green apple, all good on that front. Actually surprised at the heat on a nearly year old beer...

Decadent, syrupy mouthfeel with a strong yet short fizz assault. Silky, creamy chew. Oily as The Situation at the shore in August. Black strap molasses, dark (this beer is opaque) roasted malts, BITTER espresso, vanilla bean, bitter-sweet baking chocolate. Fudge, brown sugar, prune. Overripe black cherry, dark plum, blackcurrant, fresh peppercorn. Touch of licorice & caramel. So many other "sweets" at play, the maple gets lost in the shuffle UNTIL sip end when when you're hit by a sublingual swell that rolls forward, up and around finishing on the tip. Just the tip. Hot, boozy bourbon oak. Nothing creepin' on you, this beer is cajones across the nose. That being said, a heat/sweet/bitter profile that aligns with my particular balance preferences...

Tasty, complex beer. Wish I had another bottle. And wish a little cheaper/more accessible.

375mL bottle poured into a snifter.

I'm probably going to drink motor oil based on what poured from the bottle--- it's thick, viscous, pitch-black and produces that glug-glug sound that results from a liquid coming out in bursts. A thin head, dark khaki in color, quickly settles into an oily lace over the body. I'm ready to drink something tremendous after looking upon this. 5

Beautiful aroma. Heavy oak presence and dark chocolate with a light stickiness of bourbon, some sweet caramel and vanilla and even some maple syrup. A second pass of the nose perceives a bit of oatmeal cookie too. This smells great, well-balanced with a variety of aromas and not overpowered by bourbon. 4.5

Plenty of flavors to take note of, especially a lovely maple presence and dark, bitter chocolate. But there's also oatmeal cookie, spicy bourbon, caramel. So, so many flavors. Tossing this beer around the tongue is a joy given the flavors that result as contact is made with different parts of the palate. With warmth, the maple flavor grows and leaves a magnificent touch on this beer. 4.5

This beer drinks like perfection. Thick, viscous and creamy, as I already mentioned, it's a pleasure to swirl around the tongue. It's medium-bodied but drinks like a light beer practically. It's too damn easy to drink. The only thing keeping me from downing this in a few gulps is the recognition that there's too much to experience to just chug it. And I'd be remiss not to mention the masterful job done to keep this from becoming a sweet mess, as there's enough bitterness and even bourbon spice to give this bite and offset the sweeter elements. 4.75

Who are these Omnipollo characters? I've been blown away now by three different beers from these guys. I want more every time I finish one of their beers. That's special. This beer is special. I already need a lot more.

Friend brought for a tasting at my house. Amazing. He had never had it before either. Tasted with Westbrook Cake, Marshall Zukov and it held it's own. First time in Maine Beer tasting that MZ, WC ever drank at same time and Agamemnon scored well.

375 mL bottle. Inky black body. Smell is fudgy chocolate, deep roasted malts, booze. Faint bourbon. I don't get much bourbon in the taste either. Still very fudgy and rich. Heavy nutty malt flavor, too. Very roasty in the finish. Maple syrup aftertaste. Heavy and boozy body. Delicious, although I don't get much of the maple syrup or bourbon.

On tap. Smell is a bit off-putting. Get some vinegar notes and roasted malts. Flavor is a bit vinegary. Possibly the maple syrup going bad? Not sure. Overall a very underwhelming beer, especially with the hype. Bummer

Black and thick, just like I like it. Big molasses, bourbon, and a little smoke and booze. Huge!!!

Bottle shared by Curran tonight, thanks man.

This one pours a dark, deep black, super ominous, with basically no head or lacing. There's a fine thin line of syrupyness on top of the beer that I see with a lot of monster BA stouts.

Smells like a lot of maple, but also a ton of boozy heat, some chocolate and vanilla, but no bourbon, surprisingly.

This unfortunately didn't meld all that well together. It might need some time to age to iron out the rough edges. It starts well, big hit of maple, vanilla, and chocolate, sweet but not cloying, but the back end turns to a bitter medicinal finish. There's some bitterness from the roast, a bit charred, but that's not the problem, really. The problem is in the rough boozy astringency near the end. It almost feels like you're drinking two different beers here, with how different the front and back ends of this beer is. There's not a whole lot of bourbon at all, which is surprising.

This is quite syrupy and thick, with a lower level of carbonation. A little bit creamy, but more syrupy than anything else.

This was a bit of disappointment from a brewery I really like. I'd be curious to see if this improves with time, but I'm not sure I'll ever get a chance to try it again.

Poured into a Saint Somewhere wine-style glass. Back of bottle says Best Before 01/01/2018.

A- Pours a fully opaque black color with a 1/4 inch medium brown head that doesn't retain long before becoming a paper-thin ring around the edge of the glass and some light wisps of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- A one-two punch of sweet and roasty. Notes of fudge, marshmallow and caramel with a moderate booze aroma.

T- The maple syrup sweetness comes in and then turns toward the oaky, tannic presence of the bourbon barrel. Heavy dark roast dominates the overall flavor profile with notes of char, molasses and dark chocolate. The graininess of the barrel comes through more as it warms as well as the maple.

M- Creamy and sticky with low carbonation and the fullest of bodies. Slight booze burn in the back of the throat.

O- If you're looking for an immensely roasty and thick BA stout, look no further. Intense and robust but not too hot and the flavors all mesh well. Definitely a slow sipper.

Monstrously sticky and full bodied, reminiscent of Berserker. Surprisingly stellar barrel aged stout. Molasses, maple syrup, vanilla and ashy malt in perfect balance.
