Vintage 2015 bottle.
Bought at Systembolaget in Sweden September 18 - 2015.
This beer has matured for almost 4 years in my beercellar and I'm nervous that it is as good as I want it to be!
I pours black with almost no head.
Wow! This four year old beer smack my face with a nose full of dark chocolate, prune, rasisin and Bourbon.
Taste is in the same area: Dark chocolate, Oak Bourbon barrels, raisin, prune, coffee, vanilla, whipped cream and in the end Bourbon again.
Soft and smooth mouth with a ful body and light carbonation.
Perfection!

Let the one-upsmanship continue as Omnipollo brewers hit the bourbon-barrel frey. With a nice cozy slumber of their highly acclaimed Agamemnon into those savory Kentucky bourbon barrels, a beast is born.
As black as tar and with a handsome onyx-like sheen, the beer caps with a dainty swirl of mocha-stained crème froth. Its nose is chocked full of sweetened char. Deep espresso, dark chocolate and unmistakable bourbon dance in aroma while maple, praline and caramel sooth the tongue during the initial taste.
As the lowly carbonated stout saturates the tastebuds with unapologetic saturation, its lavish taste unveils the masterful blend of black-strap molasses, chocolate covered espresso beans, baker's chocolate and roasting walnuts. Nuances of grilled fruit cast hints of licorice, blackcurrant, black cherry and blackberry lurk in the recesses and await the prominence of the bourbon barrel.
Full and nearly chewy in texture, the stout carries a silky feel that soothens the acidity of char and the brunt of booze. Charred oak, vanilla, caramel and wood spice balance the sweetness and gives the finish the powerful impact that this massive stout deserves. Yet for a beer of such intensity, there's a finesse in balance that's rarely seen in these larger-than-life beers.

Black in color. Tan head.
Typical omnipollo stout base with lots of sweetness and cake batter. The barrels are there and the maple is there, but I feel like this is beginning to fall off. It just wasn't in your face like most omnipollo stouts.

375 mL bottle. Inky black body. Smell is fudgy chocolate, deep roasted malts, booze. Faint bourbon. I don't get much bourbon in the taste either. Still very fudgy and rich. Heavy nutty malt flavor, too. Very roasty in the finish. Maple syrup aftertaste. Heavy and boozy body. Delicious, although I don't get much of the maple syrup or bourbon.

3700th review! 375 ml bottle into snifter, best before 1/1/2018. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, maple, molasses, caramel, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, light licorice/dark fruit, light smoke/char, and oak/roasted earthiness. Incredible aromas with fantastic complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt, maple syrup, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, maple, molasses, caramel, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, light licorice/dark fruit, light smoke/char, and oak/roasted earthiness. Light-moderate roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, maple, molasses, caramel, toffee, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and oak/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, maple syrup, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and very full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly slick/chalky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a world class barrel aged imperial stout. All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt. maple syrup, and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the huge ABV. An insanely amazing offering.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours syrupy inky black with a small dark brown head. No lacing and minimal retention. Aromas of big boozy bourbon, oak, maple syrup and roasted malt. Flavor is a punch of boozy bourbon up front, oak, chocolate and maple syrup on the back end. Mouth feel is incredibly thick and syrupy. Amazing drink.

A - Sick. Thick tar black with 3 fingers of creamy, deliciously dark brown head. Great retention and ok lace.
S - Semisweet, smooth and inviting. Brown sugar, vanilla, caramel, warm bourbon served neat, and a touch of sweet cigar smoke.
T - Great integration. Dark maple syrup, toasted marshmallows, sweet bourbon, soft oak, pumpernickel bread, graham cracker, and molasses.
M - Silky smooth, medium body.
O - An outstanding imperial stout on the sweeter and silkier side of the style.

On tap. Smell is a bit off-putting. Get some vinegar notes and roasted malts. Flavor is a bit vinegary. Possibly the maple syrup going bad? Not sure. Overall a very underwhelming beer, especially with the hype. Bummer
