Captivating the ire of hop-heads who have a softer and more exotic palate, the Tired Hands brewers join forces with Omnipollo for a taste that extends well beyond the use of hops. Milk sugars, strawberries and vanilla all complete the picture in calling this IPA a bitter cream sickle.

Golden amber and carrying a mild haze, the beer's cottony swath of foam hosts an array of aromas that span tropical, citrus and orchard fruit in their variety. Its lightly candied honey taste is light with caramel and cream.

The middle palate billows with the tang of citrusy oranges, lemon, grapefruit and under-ripened strawberry. Its mystique of kiwi, gooseberry, honeydew, passionfruit and papaya and pineapple all hint toward fruit punch but with an herbal, grassy and cannabis-laden bitterness. And with receding malt sweetness, its the vanilla and cream character that shows support for the hops late.

Deliciously dry and with hints of tartness, the tandem of palate sensations work to create a clean, crisp and dry palate with a creamy texture that offsets carbonic bite and keeps the bitterness smooth until the very end. An aftertaste of tartness and musty grassiness play long in a bitter aftertaste

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Slight finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A juicy and sweet hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and berries. Citrus hop scent of orange peel, mango, grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon. Sweet hints of strawberries and slight vanilla. Some peach as well. Some earthy hop hints of pine resin and cannabis. Malt hints of cracker, wheat, and grains along with yeast. An interesting and good aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and sweet hop driven taste with notes of citrus fruit and strawberries. Citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, passion fruit, lemon, and tangerine. Sweet notes of strawberries along with some peach. Some vanilla and sugar sweetness as well. Earthy and herbal hop notes of pine resin. Backing malt notes of wheat, cracker, grains, oats, and yeast. A very solid taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, creamy, and very smooth.

Overall: A pretty nice twist on a West Coast style IPA. The strawberries add a nice contrast to the citrus hop flavors.

A - Pours a very hazy / murky light orange color with a small white head.
S - Strong citrus grapefruit mango aroma.
T - Juicy grapefruit notes with almost no bitterness.
M - Medium mouth feel and carbonation.
O - This is an outstanding east coast IPA. Unfortunately this seems to be a one off and I won't be able to get any more! But I am now a fan of Omnipollo.

Murky peach color with a small, foamy head. Aroma has fresh, citrusy hops, slightly dank, fresh fruits and some lactic tartness. Taste starts slightly sweet and tart, really fruity and fresh. Fruity and citrusy hops follow, just a hint of bitterness on the finish. Body is medium and smooth with soft carbonation. Really enjoyable overall. Very complex. You get fruit, hops, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly tart, all components complementing each other nicely.

Cloudy orange color with a small white head that quickly dissipates to a loose collection of bubbles on the surface. Aromas of strawberries and cream, mangoes, and Play-doh. Flavor isn't super punchy, but a nice mellow blend of berries, oily resins, tangerines, and that Mosaic je ne sais quoi. More watery than expected though. Light, especially for 7%, with low carb and a touch of lingering tartness. Interesting(?), but seems a little off, which makes it less enjoyable. No idea if this was a bad bottle, but I doubt I'll spring for another $6 12 ounce bottle.

An unusual, in my experience, take on the IPA - attempting to bring milk, strawberry, and vanilla impressions into a beer. I guess its safe to say they were successful, but I'm not sold on why I would want that. Fruits, including something berry-like - strawberry-like - are appreciable, as is a milky vanilla element owing as much to feel as flavor. Relatively full-bodied for an IPA, soft and plushly smooth. Will appeal to a particular crowd, but perhaps not all IPA drinkers.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a very cloudy orange with a fine, two finger white head with great retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, orange family citrus, berries, an odd resinous pine component almost like mild turpentine (sharp but not off-putting), bready malt. Flavor is lightly tart mixed fruit; orange, strawberry, lemon, kiwi, citrus hops and an unusual sweetness that must be the lactose. Finishes sweet/tart with lingering citrus rind hop bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation and a hint of creaminess. A quite fruit forward IPA with enough odd fruit flavors that it seems like it should fall apart, but everything works. The strawberry is barely noticeable at first, but is a clear note in the finish. The lactose is unexpected, but seems to cut the fruit tartness a bit. Once again, an unusual, but satisfying off-beat IPA from Omnipollo. I liked this quite a bit.

Poured into a Due South Brewing Co. snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a hazy light amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains decently before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and random splotches of sheer surface foam. Semi-resilient lacing leaves small clots behind.

S- Lots of passionfruit, pineapple, peach and mandarin orange.

T- Rich, fruity hop flavor and a somewhat astringent bitterness. Notes of guava, nectarine and more peach.

M- Creamy from the lactose with medium carbonation and a lightish body.

O- Definitely nailed the milkshake/fruit smoothie concept in look, flavor and feel. The aroma is also incredibly vibrant resulting in high scores across the board.
