Poured from a 650mL bottle into a Teku glass.
A: Hazy blackcurrant/boysenberry purple-red. A fantastic hue. No head.
S: Smells disappointingly and aggressively sweet. Like fruit candy. And something I had at Mikkeller Bangkok.
T/M: Fortunately the lactic acid bite is equally aggressive and pleasantly balances the beer. It's actually more sour than anything, but the fruit comes through as fresh and tart, with the vanilla wafting in aromatically on the endtaste, and not verging at all artificial. The pucker is happy, not painful.
O: This is some good stuff, if you like sours and/or fruit beers. Highly recommended.

Poured from the bomber into a snifter glass yesterday for lunch. Nautilus pours out a bright red/purple color with pink and violet highlights. A bubbly pink head rises and falls fast without leaving much lacing.

Smell is a bit discreet, there's some sweetness to and a bit of malt, but overall the aroma isn't descriptive of the beer itself. Thankfully, the flavor packs more a punch. The beer starts quite sweet with an apparent blueberry note and hints of blackberry. The middle is very tart and lactic and this carries over into the fruity finish. It's not super sour but just tart enough to get the idea.

Feel is on the heavier side of a light body, very refreshing mouthfeel. Overall a nice fruit beer that makes surprisingly decent use of blueberries. Nothing to artificial or overdone. Wish the vanilla was more apparent, though.

22 oz. bottle, no bottled on date, but this just arrived at the local bottle shop the other day. My first beer from Omnipollo. "Sour Ale brewed with blueberries, vanilla, &lactose sugar". 'Brewed and bottled by Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. Denver, Colorado'. 4.50% abv.

Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.

A - Pours a bright juicy purple-blue-pink colored body, one finger of fizzy quickly-fading pink-tinted white foam head that falls to a thin ring. Minor spotty lacing. The color on this thing is seriously epic.

S - Soft, tangy, tart natural blueberry aroma accompanied by creamy vanilla dreamsicle. The blueberry and the vanilla go together well, and the lactose sugar just kind of melds in. A bit of a soft earthy / yogurt bacterial presence.

T - Flavor follows the nose: tart juicy authentic blueberry goodness, and a smooth vanilla bean / dreamsicle flavor. Juicy blueberry, tart lacto sour, and a yogurty vanilla bean presence. Very interesting stuff, conjures all sorts of images of delicious foods / desserts / blueberry bagels / cheesecake. Very unique stuff.

M - Feel is tangy, tart, & sour, yet smooth & creamy from the addition of vanilla. Dry, slightly vinous finish, with hints of a minerals on the end. A very interesting beer.

Overall, a unique and interesting beer from Omnipollo. Very recommended if it is available to you.

22oz bottle. No bottling date information found.
Reddish pink colored, cloudy body. Early one finger fizzy white head, which quickly dissipates to island and bubble fed ring. There are a few spots of lacing left behind.
Aroma of blueberry and sweet lactose, with a touch of sweet vanilla.
Taste of blueberry and close to a strawberry flavor, along with the sweetness of lactose and vanilla. Has a tart edge, and rather dry at the end.
Lighter mouth feel. Carbonation is there but slightly lacking.
This beer is definitely a one-and-doner, but is okay for a lighter fruity wild ale. Nothing is memorable or enticing for another sip, and the lactose and vanilla seem a little out of place for best blend and balance. If anything, the vanilla and lactose present as somewhat artificial as compared to the fresher fruit.

Pours a lighly hazed plum color with minimal foam. Soft, juicy blueberry and creamy vanilla sweetness in the nose. Flavor is more assertive from the start: tangy berry acidity, vanilla stays mild but helps take the edge off as does the lactose sweetness. Straightforward, but tasty. Pretty light bodied and sour leaving the gums dry. Enjoyable...

With the rule book of subtlety thrown straight out of the window, Omnipollo beer makers make no qualms about the brash additions of blueberry to a sour ale. Understanding the brunt of sourness to be had, they soften the blow with vanilla and milk sugar. Oh no they didn't! -oh, yes they did.

Boastful of blueberry juices, the beer's aesthetics pick up on that purpleish ruby tone without apology. Its dainty white froth folds rapidly back into the ale, releasing a tantalizing display of vibrantly, aching blueberry fruit. Tangy and tart, the nose is sharply acidic and jaw-tightening. Flavors of blueberry are front and center on the palate with the supple sweetness of wafer and cream.

As the malt quickly drops from the palate, the sourness and blueberries reign supreme. Tangy, tart and radiant the robust berry depth is cut with the tang of lemon, green apple, lime and kiwi. Sour underpinning usher in a soft fruit skin astringency and hinges on vinous wine-like undertones. Vanilla and cream support the sourness and gives notions of blueberry cheesecake, equipped with graham cracker and all.

Its medium-light texture, and with the carbonation fleeting, the body falls light, still and acidic; again evoking thoughts of fruit wine. Remaining berry-heavy, its cidery finish linger with faint bitterness, a mild pectin bite and a quick, clean, refreshing after palate.

A: The beer is hazy purplish yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that died down rather quickly, leaving some lacing on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of blueberries are present in the nose along with hints of vanilla.
T: The taste follows the smell, having strong flavors of blueberries along with hints of vanilla and lactose. Only faint bits of sourness are perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With the blueberry flavors and hints of vanilla, this probably would make more of a dessert beer than a sour ale.

Lol. Wait, is it good to start a review with “Lol”? Anyway, like your 2nd girlfriend that you knew was too good for you, I’m just being real. And what we have here is something that my lil soldier would love to chug out of his sippy cup. For real, we have liquid gummy bears here. And you know what? Raul ain’t tripping! A very light, low carbonated fruity delight.

Bottle from ABV

A mildly hazy deep red with a thin, off-white head that falls off rapidly, this looks decent. The nose reminds me of blueberry Greek yogurt with honey. A touch of lemon and even a little spice - anise? - is present. The palate opens tart with a blend of preserved lemons and blueberries, bright , fruity, fragrant and sour. This is followed by a blend of lactose and vanilla that brings to mind Tang, especially when coupled with the sourness. Drying, tart, fruity on the finish, this beer is light in body and dominated by the fruit and lactose notes. Decent stuff.

look: Hazy grape juice. Well, not quite that dark. A purplish red. Medium head on the pour that mostly recedes.
smell: A mildly fat blueberry pie-ish thing. A little tartness.
taste: pretty bland at first, a diluted version of the nose but the finish saves it. Last forever.

Pours a deep pinkish color with some purple hues. Head dies pretty quickly on it.

Aroma is acetic and slightly fruity, pretty much proclaiming sourness to follow.

The taste has a good sour upfront, medium acid level, and a hint of blueberry as well. The sourness has some balsamic qualities but the fruit flavor masks the more acetic touches.

Body is light with a low/medium carbonation, could stand to have some more.

Overall, this is a nice American Wild Ale from Omnipollo. It has a good level of sourness and a decent blend of fruit. Enjoyable.
