Juicy hop bomb here. So smooth. Somehow better than OTWOA. I hope this becomes part of the permanent rotation.

12oz can, sample from the brewery.
Thick lacing that stays for the duration, slightly hazy golden amber hue. A great looking brew. Lots of Mosaic hop in the nose with a slight over-the-top aroma of 10% abv and elevated hoppiness ... expected and very welcomed IMO for the style. A punch in the palate to start as the bitterness drops hard, cedar and exotic fruit with citrus rind in tow for the flavor. Warming and a bit estery but controlled by a malt backdrop that holds this DIPA together. Serious drinking, fun drinking. DC Brau always makes me happy to be a beer drinker.

On draft
L: Golden yellow color with a soapy head.
S: Full of tropical fruit (peach, mango, grapefruit) mixed with lemon, lime, and some dank elements.
T: Lemon upfront followed by dankness (onion, pepper, jalapeno). No notes of bitterness or alcohol for a 10% DIPA.
F: medium bodied
Overall a nice dank DIPA. I prefer OTWOA but this is still a great beer.

Wow. This little brewery in the nation's capital is doing great things. This one was juicy and dank. I was very impressed with the happiness and balance.

Received as an extra in a trade. Can date 6/26/15.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a hazy orange hue with a thin one finger head that fades slowly to leave light lacing and a thin creamy blanket.
S - Aromas of caramel, sweeter malts, earthy spicy hops, pine, not much alcohol on the nose.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Lots of caramel and sweeter malts. More spicy, earthy, piney mosaic hops. Nice vibrant bitterness on the finish with the alcohol hidden nicely.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, good bitter finish with the alcohol hidden very well.
O - Overall this was a pretty decent beer, alcohol hidden very well. My only knock would be the amount of sweeter caramel malts that were in the aroma and taste. Could be due to age though.
