DATE: May 1, 2021... OCCASION: IPA number three of day two... melon and resin immediately, with dough and white wine… pineapple too… this smells of a balanced ale… its head is a snow-white, two-fingered thickness that retains its girth for a good amount of time… its body resembles the first two--a hazy, orange amber opaqueness… great lacing, resembling garters all the way down… 4.25... sticky? Yes… lip-smacking, teeth-shaking presence is the introduction… its finish is decidedly acidic and lasting… it lingers in a worthwhile way… 4.25... the melon, lemon, and grapefruit are resonant and appreciable… its malts also push their agenda, making this a balanced and worthwhile beer... this was a joy to drink in the presence of DC Brau’s personality Kevin, who explained the process and philosophy behind the beer…. This raises the bar a bit, with a sharp profile 4.25

It pours a dark the color of a dark apple juice with a thin white head. The smell is fruity, with hints of pineapple, mango, and sticky hops. It is bitter from the hops but there are hints of fruity hops too. This is a nice medium bodied and enjoyable IPA.

A turbid light burnt orange with an impressive white head and sticky, copious, lacing.

Smell is hop forward citrusy and light melon. Tropicals flow throughout, mango and papaya with the crowning of pineapple. Subtle malt presence has a bit of caramel sweetness.

Taste is light malt and lots of orange tinged hops. A bit of melon and light papaya. Finish is clean, short and dry. Mild crackery malt and faint hop oil lightly lingering. No trace of alcohol.

Seriously active carbonation and a medium light weight despite the abv give this a crisp and easy drinking quality. Quenching.

A solid entry Into the DNEIPA realm.

Poured from can into tulip, good 3 finger ivory colored head, good retention and great lacing. Cloudy amberish golden in the glass. Nose reminiscent of a west coast ipa, good pine/grapefruit action going on with an overripe pineapple and a tinge of dankness. Taste is bright citrus/grapefruit, the middle drinks like orange juice with a citrus tartness. Not one of my favorite. There is a slight whiff of dankness in the middle. Finish is just there, just fades out.

Tight hazy pale yellow pour, off-white head. Nose is lead by resin and big grapefruit with pineapple, melon and onion hops supporting. Taste starts with earthy hops but has huge grapefruit, passion fruit, pineapple, onion, and supporting citrus, finished by a wave of herbal weedy hops. Feel is medium bodied, has nice contrasting brightness and dankness with decent resin.

-deep amber-orange can pour with a thin white foam cap and an aroma of pine and faint grapefruit zest.
The flavor follows the nose, pine and citrus zest. The hop bitterness is low to moderate.
This is a lighter-bodied offering with significant flavor.

Pours an orange juicy color with a nice good head and a Tequila Sunrise look. Smells of citrus and melon. Taste follows the nose. It's creamy smooth and lacks any bitterness. Another excellent juice bomb. A date was not noted.

The beer pours a nice white and foamy head that dissipates quickly while the beer itself is a cloudy medium orange.

The smell is good. It has a sweet orange note alongside a bitter mixture of a grassy and dank pine alongside a grapefruit note. It has a nice tart red berry note as well.

The taste is much sweeter and more citrus like than the smell. The main notes resemble tropical fruits such as orange upfront and pineapple in the finish and other notes such as a grassy pine and a bitter red currant note some out as well but are a bit more faint.

The feel is good. It has a heavy and smooth body with a tingling carbonation to it. It finishes fairly sticky and a bit dry.

Overall, a pretty good beer worth getting and a refreshing one to have.

From the can (IPA Fest in Cyberspace Provided), it pours a hazy amber color with a nice head that reduces and leaves lacing. In the nose, a symphony of citrus: pineapple, orange, and others. In the mouth, an easy drinking citrus forward maltiness. Nice!

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a muffin top pint glass; canned on ?04/01/21, code STICKY.
A: Pours an opaque, dark orange yellow color with a one to two finger head, rim plus retention, but gorgeous rings of sticky, persistent lacing.
S: Aromas of citrus (orange, lime) giving way to caramel, honey, oregano, corn grain, and pine.
T: Semisweet. Palate follows nose with fruit up front, again quickly giving way to caramel, honey, corn, but with an herbal, perhaps oregano note. Earthy. Bitterness is in very good balance.
M: Medium bodied with solid carbonation.
O: Very different take on the NEIPA style than I am used to locally. May the Fourth Be With You.

Poured from a can into a pint glass

Appearance – The beer pours a hazed orange juice color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, with it slowly fading over time to leave a good sum of ring lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a tropical fruit and orange juice like smell with tons of pineapple and papaya. Along with these aromas comes some other sweet smells of caramel and a touch of toffee. At the same time there are some aromas of herb and grass as well as a touch of pine, which when mixed with the sweet, produce a very inviting aroma overall.

Taste – The taste begins with a sweet orange juice and tropical fruit taste as one may have expected from the nose. At the same time the taste has a nice bready malt backbone and a decent amount of a grapefruit and herbal hop. As the taste advances the fruit gets even more potent in nature, all while a little bit of earthy hop replaces some of the grapefruit. These flavor transitions take the taste to the end, where one is left with a somewhat sweeter, and moderately hopped, but very balanced and flavorful taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is low. For the mix of flavors and the style the feel is great and allows the mix of hop and sweet flavors to fully be appreciated.

Overall – A very nice example of a NEIPA. One of the better one’s I have had, and certainly one to try if you have the opportunity, as it is a nice balance of fruit sweetness and hop.

Pours a dark brown tinged orange color. Completely opaque, matte color. Two finger off-white head forms on the beer before dissolving. Splotchy foam remains on the beer, but not much of an actual head.

Aroma has notes of lemon, orange, green onions, melon, and pineapple.

Taste generally follows the nose with notes of grapefruit, orange, green onions, woody, melon, herbal, with a touch of spiciness. Might be the dankest NE style IPA I have ever come across.

Feel is medium to full bodied, smooth and pretty creamy. Light to mild carbonation.

Overall an interesting and unique IPA

Wow a little darker than expected, but beautiful. Fluffy head pops, solid retention. Bountiful lacing.
The nose is glorious. Yes there is the citrus, pine and weed note. But the malt really comes in firmly.
Flavor follows nose and goes forth boldly. The pine, orange, buckwheat honey, and sticky icky is an elegant waltz.
Full for style, slick and mildly sticky finish.
Overall, this could be bad for my health if it was distro'd in CA.
