The Corruption™ IPA is DC Brau's take on a Pacific Northwest IPA. Brewed with Pale 2 row, C-10, Honey and Victory malts. Exclusively hopped with 40 lbs of Columbus hops per brew to ring in at 80 IBU. "The Corruption" comes in at 6.5% ABV. This beer straddle's the line between IPA and Imperial IPA and has a supportive malty backbone with an assertive hop presence that smacks your mouth with a dank, resinous bitterness followed by pleasant aroma's of pine sap and burnt spruce.

Poured into a Funk Teku glass, canned on 7/10/17. Pours a very attractive orange amber, with a one finger sticky white head, that leaves nice thin streaks of lace behind.

Smell is apricot, caramel, tangerine, pine, and grapefruit.

Taste follows apricot, tangerine, and caramel upfront with pine and grapefruit in the finish balanced very well.

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life, wouldn't say it is dry, and drinks easy enough at its ABV.

Overall this is a nice beer, reminds a little of Dales Pale Ale. Thanks @jzeilinger for this can.

Pale Amber draught pour with white head; solid ring and moderately heavy lacing; excellent clarity. Earthy pine nose. Earthy, dull, bitter pine hop taste. Medium lite body with moderate carbonation. Dull, bitter hop linger. An ok IPA.

Pours a murky, burnt orange with a frothy white head that leaves little chunks of lacing.

Smells of bright citrus and some earthy hops.

Tastes of the bright hops layered over a solid malt base. Hops lead off with notes of grapefruit, pine, and grass. This gives way to caramel malt with toasted bread and toffee. More hops add in with an earthy, spiciness. Finishes fairly clean with a bit of lingering hops.

Mouthfeel is medium-full with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, a nicely done IPA.

Don't pass up the opportunity to dip into the Nation's Capital's Corruption! This strong IPA is the taste profile classic early '90's bitter-hoppy IPA. But a bit more on the bitterness. Amazingly, it's refreshing on a hot day, so pack a couple for that round at Rock Creek Park Golf Course. But drink too many and you'll blow the back nine- it's 6.5% alcohol borders on a double IPA. The can is totally fine (it's "view" is nice, but not essential), but drop in after your round to any of our very friendly watering holes and maybe you'll get Corrupted!

Pours a caramel bronze. It doesn't have the haze of the new fangled IPAs, but The Corruption is a nice crispy, resiny IPA that isn't necessarily sexy, but definitely good.

Poured from can. Extremely malty with a smell of a brown ale instead of IPA. Taste as it smells but more like an IPA. More bitter finishing taste with an unkind feel.

Orange/red color, medium head. Aromas and notes of citrus, hops, and a hint of rosemary. Crisp and a bit dry. Lingering finish. This was the first beer I had from a can and liked.
