Enjoyed a pint at Pizzeria Paradiso (Dupont Circle) today, during their JulyIPA month or whatever they call it. Nothing but hops on the menu and I am always up to dry a new DC Brau offering. This one did not disappoint.
Arrived a pale copper color with a half finger of off-white head. Lacing was quite impressive as I took each swig.
Aroma was piney hops with a solid caramel malt backbone.
Taste was just what I expected for an IPA from DC. Sticky, piney, citrus with a hefty maltiness to keep it from being a total enamel scraper. The balance was spot on.
Carbonation was excellent and more of that piney hop profile showed thru as it warmed. No cloying sweetness and finished super clean. Bitter for sure, but nothing lingered.
Love Corruption and this is exactly what I would have expected from the folks at DC Brau.

Poured from the keg into a clear solo cup at RFK for the tailgate of DC united vs Vancouver, VAMOS!
Real nice peach amber, faint tan head slightly cloudy. Minimal lacing. Otherwise a real nice solid orange body.
Nose is interesting. Chinok hops bring intesting grass and sharp tones of bringing out biscuity aromas of the malt base. Kind of a hard to describe.. but very enjoyable.
Palate is very enjoyable, minot biscuit with a mild pine warmth. Coating for the palate, much like their public and corruption. Good density to the body.
Overall a solid nother brew from the DC brew gang.
