This is THE place to go if you're into old beer. They have a massive selection of White Birch with bottle dates in the 2009-2011 range. A pretty good selection of Mikkeller which I can only assume are from a similar date range since they don't bottle date anything. The only place still selling Haverhill Brewery (they rebranded to The Tap several years ago). It's dusty, and disorganized.

They now have a second location on Grafton St, with a small section for large bottles. Most of those bottles came from the original store with the same freshness issues. The only redeeming find was BCBS for only $22. They now have 5 4-packs remaining, go get 'em kids!

kind of a hole-in-the-wall place thats small, has a small parking lot, but is conveniently located. From the outside, it looks like the type of place I try to steer clear of, but when Short's first distributed some cases to MA, this was the closest store listed that received some, so I checked it out, and I'm glad I did.

The selection is small, but composed of the usuals and some rarer finds that sell out in two minutes at the bigger stores. If you are looking for a "hidden gem" you will find a few here, and for dollars cheaper than at the bigger stores.

The craft selection is expanding, yet the store is overtaken by wine, and I don't see the wine giving up room to expand the shelf space. There is plenty of rarer selections out back that don't have room on a shelf, so its a good place to visit and talk to the beer guy.

The beer guy is genuinely friendly, always willing to make suggestions, and is willing to let you know what he has coming in if you are looking for something different.

Though its not the largest selection, it is well-thought out with many things I havent seen at stores with 10x the amount of shelf space.

Definitely worth a visit.

These reviews are rather silly. I'll give you that most of the folks I've talked to at O'Hara's have been less than stellar beer folks. There is one amazing guy who buys the beer and he's actually there most of the time. He's the youngest one there and you can't miss him. He knows his beer and he's doing a good job of getting great beers for the cases. Actually, the stuff that he stocks regularly is great tasting beer. He regularly stocks stuff that you can't get a lot of other places and if you ask nicely he'll show you the store's selection of small batch beers that they sell one off. I buy mostly imperial beers, and I'm told I'm the only one willing to spend 15$ for a four pack of cans. So maybe I'm biased. I used to shop other places more, but I've come to love the selection here and I can get my favorite CO beers whenever I want. This place is a good little beer store that has sweet craft beers and the 30 packs for your weekend with people that have bad taste. I don't know jack about wine, so I'll defer. Go buy your beer here and ask for help when you don't know what new beers to try. There's always something new.

The store is fairly small, and the beer section is a small area in the corner that's a bit harder to find. It's a bit darker and dusty and seems like a typical small liquor store in the middle of Worcester.

However, they do have a pretty decent selection. They tend to get good rare beers like Cantillons, other Belgians & imports, Firestone Walker, etc. Their selection is not huge as teh store is not very big, but the beers they do have in stock are usually of the top tier.

If you are able to talk to the beer manager, he is very helpful and resourceful, recommending beers, mentioning special beers in the back, and when other beers may be coming in. They have occasional tastings as well, which is a bonus.

Prices are pretty good, and in most cases they have the lowest prices I've seen (for the expensive beers at least).

Dark and cluttered, but what do you expect in middle of MA? Staff was not very helpful didnt seem to know much about beers other than where it is located in the store, some craft selection but it seems to be more 30 pk type of place. Great selection of wines, saw that they had someone tasting white burch, perhaps they will do more. The web page is not helpful, said that have lost Abby beers, they did not. They do have many beers but nothing you can't find anywhere, in a more pleasant surroundings
