The Midtown Wine Cellar is part of the Midtown Market, a strip in Statesboro that has a restaurant and several gourmet/specialty retailers including this wine/beer store, a coffeehouse, and a small grocery. I spent some time searching for shops before my trip to Statesboro, and it looks like this store is the singular source of craft beer in the area.

The store itself has a modern design that is very nice looking. Some craft beer is found at the entrance of their walk-in cooled room in the middle of the store, otherwise majority of their beer inventory is cooled. They also carry some homebrewing supplies as well as a handful of glassware.

Decent selection of bombers and singles, mostly focused on American craft and European/Belgian selection was slim to none. The store only allows customers to build your own six pack, so that can get a little pricy. Some labels that caught my eye included The Bruery, Lost Abbey, Smuttynose, Founders, and Bell's.

Staff was also attentive and helpful in giving suggestions to what a Georgia visitor should pick up. Walked out with a mixed sixer that included Founders Double Trouble, Smuttynose Robust Porter, Smuttynose IPA, and Bell's Java Porter. I felt the higher cost was justified given they carried a decent number of breweries that don't distribute to my area. Worthy of a stop if you're in the area and need craft beer.

When I first came to this store I was impressed with the stylish design it had. The store is very clean and inviting. The craft beer selection is kept in an over sized closet of a room in the middle of the store. They have plenty of breweries and styles to choose from. Unfortunately they only allow you to "build" a six pack. The only problem with that is that they end up charging you an arm and a leg. It seems somewhat unreasonable to spend $20+ on 6 beers that would cost me $14 in Savannah. I am not from Statesboro but have been to this store twice. It is not a place that I would want to go to that often mainly because of the price, but anytime I am in the area and need beer this is where I will end up.

your single source for craft beer in statesboro, GA.
Found this place during homecoming weekend. very nice selection of wine and beer. they carry bombers and you can mix and match your 6 pack. the selection was all over the place and i actually had a hard time putting together a 6 pack due to all the decisions.
they also had a very nice cigar selection with temp controled room.

As a homebrewer i was very happy to see the supplies in the back.

i know where i will be stopping before the football game!

the guy working was very talkative and eager to tell me about other peoples likes and some of his own.
