12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of caramel, citrus and floral notes. It tasted sweet with caramel and a mild citrus bitterness.

I want to like Finch (but Big Pond is only my third.) With Finch too young to have developed a website, my review is based on a cryptic can. Albeit pleasantly designed, the can indicates a Chicago-Centric marketing appeal. (The Pond is Lake Michigan and the can shows other Chi-icons.)

As for the beer, it Looks like a straw blond and its foam disappears quick. Smells greet me balanced, malt and hops play nice. Taste is less nice; claiming only 20 IBU (which I don't believe), its bitterness lingers longer than I appreciate. I did not have it with food, but it probably would suit leftovers. (But, I'd use it as a stand-by for a meal that was no work to prepare.)
