Style: American IPA
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%
Availability: Year-round
Notes / Commercial Description:
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

16 oz can, 6% abv. Slightly hazy, copper color. White head that holds for a long time, and leaves some nice lace.
Citrusy, herbal hop aroma. Some stone fruit as well. Nice toasty, caramel malt in the nose as well.
Toasty malt up front followed by some resiny, herbal and citrusy hops. Bitterness is solid but not overwhelming. Some nice fruity favors linger. More complex than I thought. Dries at the finish with a dextrose sort of feel.
Medium body with great soft carbonation. No warmth here. A very easy to drink ipa, with a bonus for the tall boy can!

From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #70 (November 2012):
Good call on the “tall-boy” can format. Very aggressive hopping here, a bit of a occupy our palates going on here and it works. Serious hop heads need try and anyone wanting to jump in with both feet. Each sip our taste buds get pummeled with hops and we can’t help but to go back for more. Very well done!
STYLE: American IPA
ABV: 6.0%
AVAILABILITY: Year-round
LOOK: Mildly hazed amber, excellent showing of lace
SMELL: Dried orange peel, stone fruit jam, kiss of caramel, biscuity, spicy, slightly estery, melon rind
TASTE: Smooth, slightly crisp, medium bodied, quite bitter, orange rind, mint, leafy, faintly vegtal, peppery, mild warming alcohol, grassy, caramel, bread crust, hop resin, hoppy semi-dry finish

16 oz can
Pour is hazed darker almond amber, appropriate tiny bubble sheen , low sheeting and fine spotty lacing. Fresh hops on the nose - tropical with some pine
Well crafted IPA. Beefy citric and herbal hops. Yummy maple malt notes. Densely flavorful and sturdy brew.
This is the second brew I have tried from Finch's....impressed....maybe I should visit Chicago this summer...

Thanks to Pawola22 for sending me this can.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma has quite a bit of biscuit malt and the resulting sweetness, as well as some pine and a little bit of orange citrus. The flavor has a lot of toffee and caramel malt in it, with some pine and a hint of grass from the hops. Low to medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Malt and fruity, herbal hops on the nose. Pours Hazy gold-amber with a 1” lightly gold tinted foam collar. This is a hop driven beer that features melon, orange and citrus flavors over a malt backbone and finishes with some hop astringency that complements the hop bitterness. Medium body and medium low carbonation.
