Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our Threadless/Finch collaboration IPA is a balanced experience of both perceived hoppiness and true bitterness. It pours a darker amber color and finishes with a citrus flavor, and when combined, will require this to be the last IPA you ever drink! Well, maybe, we realize you will probably drink more, but the result of this recipe clearly evolves into a very balanced IPA. The grain bill on this big pale includes melanoidin and Victory malts. We hop it up before the boil starts with some Columbus first wort hopping, then add a bunch more for bittering.

16oz can to pint glass

A- pours a hazy golden orange color with a small foamy and creamy white head that retains nicely after the pour, eventually leaves a film on top 3.75

S- citrusy orange juice tropical hop bitterness with highlight of pine & floral aromas. The malt aroma is just as strong with notes of doughy bread and grains 3.75

T- hops are quite muted up front, mostly just sweet and malty, as it closes, notes of citrusy and piney hops kick in, ending dry and toasty with moderate hop linger 3.5

M- medium viscous body with moderate spritzy carbonation leads to a slightly foamy carbonation and a crisp finish 3.25

O- a balanced IPA? That's almost unheard of these days, but I can see what they are going for here. Won't necessarily appeal to most hopheads, but easy to drink and well balanced 3.5
