Style: American Amber / Red Lager

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Finally, a beer that pays homage to the hard workers in our Valley. The trail crews and farmers, the lumberjacks and firefighters, we brew this for you! With these folk in mind, we’ve created an Amber Lager that features a smooth, medium body, with a rich toasted malt aroma. Dirtyface’s initial malty sweetness finishes fresh and clean… unlike its name. No need to wash up, just wash down.

Bottle from Michael's in Moses Lake. Solid amber, but nothing memorable. Just average, through and through. Finishes fast, too fast. was hoping for better.

Beautiful copper color with a decent head in the Ureich Pils glass. Suitably fizzy in the mouth. Seriously malty stuff, which I like well enough in this style.

This is more like an English brew with the fruity hops and a whiff of the Old Ale. Surprisingly sweet after some sipping. Modestly bittier aftertaste. This is not the bitter hop attack of many Red/Amber beers. Interesting and full bodied.

From the 22 oz bottle bought at Flood Valley Homebrew in Chehalis.

22oz bomber served in a pint glass.

I ordered this Amber ale at JJ Hills in Leavenworth, near the brewery. So why does my red ale taste like bad American adjunct lager? Oh, because it is clearly labeled as lager. Still, bad. Drinkable, but bad. At least it *looks* like a red ale (in the glass, that is).

On tap at the brew house in Levenworth.

A - Served a amber orange with a large tan head that doesn't move.

S - Much like any other lager. Pretty malty and sweet.

T - Lagerish is the best to describe. More bread malt tasting than usual.

D - good carbonation with a lighter body.

O - Lager, amber. Ho hum at best.
