newest liquor store to occupy the corner of harvard ave and comm (next door to where kelly's roast beef was, in the slot beside the old marty's - lot of turnover on this corner over the past couple years). make no mistake, this place is no replacement for erstwhile marty's and their prolific craft stock and hidden gems. not the same ballpark. or sport. the new establishment is a spirits, wine, and BMC vendor first. that said, they do have a respectable handful of staples to satisfy a craft enthusiast in need of a fix (and one who doesn't feel like walking up to blanchard's)... the craft area is immediately to the right after you walk in, in coolers that (unfortunately) directly opposed the store's big front windows. most recently i picked up a ruination six pack, a couple pretty things bombers, and prima pils and hop wallop from victory. i also spotted some DFH stuff, brooklyn, weyerbacher, lagunitas, avery, and some other locals like blue hills and berkshire. (with bershire growlers also available).

have only been in on a few occasions, but the next time i'm asked if i need help will be the first. which is fine; not the type of craft heavy beer store where the employees are current on the latest founders release.

as mentioned (but it bears repeating), this isn't a place to lasso your weekend haul, and it's a bit pricey. but if you're looking for a staple or two, or just passing by, it's worthy of a look.
