As the menu states..." northern English style of ale." Light brown color. The beer had a sweet malty taste, with some hints of hops, more of the fruity type of hops. There slight hoppy aroma, with a hint of fruit. Good all around beer, a session beer.

Served on tap in a pint glass.

Appearance: Darker brown with a beige head.

Smell: Malts and nutty notes

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of sweeter Malts and a nutty and bitter finish.

Overall: Decent brown ale. Glad I tried it.

Ontap in a shaker, the beer is a dark, vibrant brown coloring with no head. Aromas of roasted hazelnut and rich chocolate, with cream highlights. Flavors are heavily roasted forward, with a mocha blend and a solid bitter coffee backbone. Smooth and midbodied, with a roasted and slightly bitter nutty coffee aftertaste. The finish is smooth, with a dry edge and a coffee linger. Solid beer.

tap at the brewery

Pours a clear brown with white lacing for a head.

Smells of buttered toast and caramel malts.

Tastes of buttered toast, walnut, and a woody hop finish.

Medium carbonation with a tingly carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

Really good brown ale, lots of great flavor and aroma. Really worth stopping in and trying if you are in the area.
