350ml can poured into a pils glass.

Clear bright golden color with lots of active effervescence, it tops with very thick frothy white head with very good retention. The head slowly dissipates to a long-lasting bubble sheet atop and leaves some lacing patch and spot.

Lots of malt and grain in a nose, it is like bread, biscuit and rice. There is sourness of rice and yeast together with a note of grassy hop.

The taste is based and led by grain and bready malt that lend some sweetness and husk. Hop is also there with notes of grass, hay, and subtle bitterness as well as some yeasty lager.

Light body with quite smooth mouthfeel and lively crisp carbonation, the feeling is refreshing with rather clean and dry finish. Very easy drinkable as it supposed to be.

Orion is, thus far, my favorite Japanese-brewed beer. It is a great beer overall. Great taste, mouthfeel, and surprisingly good in a variety of temperatures. If you're a pilsner fan, like me, you'll enjoy this beer.

Clear bright gold with three fingers of white head that falls in about ten minutes leaving thick rings of lace.
Smell is very light.
Taste is light grains or malts with just a hint of herbal hop in the end.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with good carbonation. Finish is lightly dry and neutral.
Overall a beer you could drink all night without getting bloated or bored. Well done Orion.

My local 99 Ranch, an Asian-themed supermarket chain, is currently selling six-packs for $4.99, which is a bargain in and around Berkeley, California, so I've consumed a fair number of six packs over the last month. The beer is heavily carbonated, so be warned. However, it is light (4.7% alcohol), which I currently like, because I drink too much beer to be good for me. The flavor I would best describe as pleasant. It is probably a rice adjunct beer, since that's what it tastes like and that is common for East Asian beers. I generally like Asian rice-adjunct beers, particularly with Asian food, so that's not a problem. Seems to give the beer a bit of a winey, saki, malt liquorish flavor, which, again, goes well with Asian food.

Similar to Sapporo. Some mild rice notes though. Prefer Sapporo's slight stronger brisket flavor.
