5 Vulture is a deep ambered-colored ale with complex caramel aromas with toasted sugar notes and a long, elegant spicy finish. Roasted ancho chile is used to add depth and complexity, without adding heat or strong chile flavors.

16oz draft pour into a pint glass shows a bubbly dark brown body briefly floats a 1" cocoa brown head leaving no lacing.
Aroma is an almost metallic ale carbonation.
Flavor is almost exclusively chili heat with a little caramel malt.
Mouthfeel is light and nimble, clean and numbing from the chili.
Overall I was surprised by the heat, but it is clearly well made.

12oz.
Duvel Tulip
A - Brown with a reddish hue. No lacing and little to no head from an aggressive pour
S - Hops and ancho chile
T - Hoppy initial taste with a peppery finish
F - Becomes toasty as the beer warms with a bitter coating
O - A good beer in the style, but not a style I usually look for. Would buy again if I'm in the mood for ancho chile

Unknown vintage; drank 7/11/14 @ the Yarchives.
Poured from a bottle into a glass.
Brown/red murkiness.
Khaki head; minimal lace.
Brown sugar & mild spice heat in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild coffee & hint of banana up front, with a touch of pepper heat on the finish. A nice enough dark session beer.

7/19...pours dark brown, fast fizzy bubbles, no foam on top. Dark malty nose, caramels, smoky. Slight peppery spice. Taste is a light sweet malt which swings swiftly to an ancho spice burn. Kept in check, but a nice smooth burn. Milk chocolate sweetness in the background. Very interesting.

Creamy tan head over nigh-on-black liquid. Head doesn't last or leave any lace, though.
Smell is mostly cocoa butter with a hint of wood.
Taste is roasted malt, cocoa butter, light peppery spice.
Lightish body and carbonation. Spice comes out a tic more after the swallow. A different brew to be certain but I like it.
