I visited the establishment a Friday night. The clientele was in the twenties with some hipsters present. Ska and old reggae in the background. Peole were shatting and having a good time. Perhaps the atmosphere was a bit posh, not many beer geeks present.
Beers from Spendrups and their subsidiary Gotlands Bryggeri dominates the taps. “Tullens Red Ale” is made exclusively for the bar by local brewery Oceanbryggeriet. Rotating guest beers from Swedish microbreweries.
Tullen offers a vast assortment of bottled Swedish microbrewed beer, by far the best in town.
The interior design is minimalistic in bright colours, the room is airy. The decoration consists of old prints and articles telling the story of the former Ölstugan Tullen, a worn honky-tonk with lots of regulars a few blocks from the new place.
