Very light yellow color was expected (it’s a white IPA after all), but it was bit more faded than I wished. The smell carries notes of pine. The taste comes on strong, with a full carbonation mouth feel, but fades quickly.

Pours a hazy maize color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of citrus hops, hint of piney hops, slight alcohol, slight sweet malt, and a hint of tea. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, hint of piney hops, slight alcohol, slight sweet malt, and a hint of tea. Overall, weak appearance, aroma, and body.

Yellow color with a thin head with short retention.
Decent dry-hopping with notes of lemon, floral, bread, some pine and lemongrass.
Hoppy flavor without being relatively bitter with notes of lemon-orange peel citrusy, wheat, lemongrass, maybe coriander and other spices. Dry aftertaste with a medium bitterness.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
Super refreshing White IPA. Predominant Citra and Cascades hops contribute more to its assertive flavors rather than bitterness.

I just drank a stout so maybe this IPA snuck up on me. The flavor caught me by surprise, in a good way. It's an IPA that isn't just a hop bomb. It's got areal crisp taste to it. Kind of feels like there is a lot of carbonation in it but I only see a small sliver of foam on top. It's well balanced and crafted. It's a nice change to the usual poor selection of beer I find out here in Korea!

Yellow and cloudy. White frothy head, diminishing. Excellent lacing. High hop aroma. Citrus and tropical fruits. Medium bitter flavor. Low complementary, malty sweetness. Medium light body, medium carbonation, watery, smooth, long dry finish, saltiness.

I expected more bitterness.

22oz bottle - so a White Session IPA - sure, why the hell not?

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with two fingers of puffy, rocky, and somewhat fizzy eggshell white head, which leaves a bit of streaky, low-lying cloud pattern lace around the glass as it lazily recedes.

It smells of gritty and grainy wheat malt, mixed citrus rind acerbities, an earthy yeastiness, and more leafy, piney, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy wheat cereal, a lesser pale malt graininess, some lemon, orange, and white grapefruit citrus flesh, still laid-back yeasty notes, and more edgy leafy, herbal, and piney verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly straightforward in its supportive frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and generally smooth, neither the hops nor the yeast willing to put up an interfering gesture, it would seem. It finishes off-dry, the wheaten malt starting to absorb the will of any lingering citrusy, piney, or yeasty notions.

Overall, this is a refreshing and easy to drink version of a few different styles, all brought under the same umbrella. I could see pounding this stuff back on a hot summer day by the coast - in between trips to the men's loo, that is!

On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Wishbeer, Bangkok.

Hazy pale golden color, it comes with thick white silky head that well retains itself before gradually collapsing to a long-lasting foamy film on the surface and leaving plenty of lacing patch and spot here and there.

There is significant aroma of lemony and citrusy hop in the lead as well as orange peel, floral, passion fruit, tropical, a little bit spice, pine, resin, and some twang of wheat. Malt can also be sensed with its sweet bread and light caramel in the background.

Sweet, bready, and wheaty grain from malt lay as a base of the flavor structure in order to let hop to shine with suggestions of some spice, citrus, lemon, and tropical fruits. Unfortunately, the bitter bite is quite weak and just quickly flash with low strength as well as the fruitiness part which is not that lively comparing to the aroma.

The body is medium with some lively carbonation to generate some crisp through the palate, the mouthfeel is quite smooth with refreshing touch and dry finish.

Like good IPA in the aroma but some more like Wit in the taste, overall it is okay.

Presentation: 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.

Look: Hazy, golden yellow with a white two finger head. Good head retention.

Smell: Piney hops and a little citrus.

Taste: Follows the nose, mostly hops and some citrus. Very low hop bitterness, almost not there at all.

Feel: On the thinner side of medium, low carbonation and a tad dry. Very easy drinking.

Overall: A very good beer overall, although in my opinion it is a white beer with hops and not an IPA.

Bottle from WinCo. Very pale, ha y Holden, thin, soft fluffy head. Aroma is faint very faint, not picking up much at all. Taste, what little there is, is light malts and hops, some citrus. Again, this is a lightweight of a beer, more for chugging, than sipping.

Had it on tap. Looks typical pale yellow. Smells really good; floral, fruity, hint of spice. The taste however was really disappointing. Watery mouthfeel, with hardly any taste. Overall disappointing, but I am willing to give it another try.

Pours a hazy gold with a soapy white head.

Smell is of piney hops with some floral notes coming out as the beer warms.

The flavor is something else entirely. It seems as if the light hop flavors really want to push out a regular IPA punch but fall short because they drop off so quickly.

The mouth feel is light with a crisp finish.

Overall I liked this beer better than the Great White from the same brewery. This one seems to have a bit more flavor and the hops are a nice addition that lightly tickled this beer drinkers tongue. I would call this a sessions IPA and leave it at that.

The thing about this beer is I am not sure if it's a IPA or not. I would say it's the big brother to the great white and could be called a session IPA, but I think thats to who you ask. Its for sure white beer. I think its simple in a good way easy to have a few without meaning to. I would really enjoy trying this beer next to chainbreaker white IPA from deschutes brewery.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Monica glass.

Pours a hazy, dirty straw color. Very thin layer of head that dissipates into a lumpy clump in the center of the glass.

Citrus and wheat on the nose. Hint of sweetness, under the citrus.

Very lemony on the flavor. A bit overwhelming of other flavors. Slight hints of wheat, but not enough.

Seems under carbonated and a little flat.

Very similar to Lost Coast's great white. Hazy golden colour and a thin white head. Citrus taste is prominate. Maybe a little smoother than great white. It's a great summer beer.

I found this beer to be lackluster and not providing the flavor intensity or complexity I have come to expect from lost coast. However, for those seeking a rather mild beer with some development for the palate this may prove a good option.

Slightly misleading calling this an IPA, states on the bottle that it is Great White with an additional dose of hops. White IPA, hoppy belgian white, PA whatever you want to call it this is pretty drinkable and refreshing. Hops are not over done, but provide a nice refreshing bitterness and light spicy/floral character to the beer. If its a hot day out and you need to put back a few this is not a bad option.

Some good citrus in the aroma. Unfortunately it tastes a little hollow, like they depended too much on the citrus and not enough on the hops. A high amount of carbonation, and plenty drinkable, but the Belgian white and IPA styles don't blend perfectly here.

Enjoyed from the bottle. First impression is that it claims to be a white IPA, but it's more of a white ale than an IPA. Has very few IPA characteristics. That's not necessarily a bad thing, it's a decent beer and was a wonderful companion to a meal, but it's a little deceiving. Seems like white IPA's are a toss-up though, never know if it'll be closer to a white ale or an IPA. In this case, it was definitely a white ale!

12oz bottle. Poured out an orange color with hints of gold and a small, white head. It smelled of pine and citrus. It also had a light caramel malt aroma. Good bitter hop bite. A very piney and grassy hop character with a nice roasted malt finish.

Uh, definitely not a white IPA. You could maybe get by with calling it a session white IPA or a blonde ale with natural flavors. The label IPA sets up a certain connotation, in which this beer does not deliver.
That being said, it is a refreshing blonde ale with natural flavors.

Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, yeast, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus fruit, citrus zest, and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with nice citrus forward hop characteristics that work well with the base beer.

Serving type: bottle.
