Poured from a 12oz bottle.
Appearance- Pours a finger of head and leaves a ring of foam around the edge of the beer. Also leaves some foamy bubbles on the glass. The color is a hazy, opaque brown. I'm talking "Brown Soes Don't Make It" brown with some garnet highlights. Only some sparse lacing is visisble when held to the light.
Smell- The sweetest smelling EBA I've ever had thats for sure. But that doesn;t mean the subtle English hops go unnoticed. A very well balanced mix of sweet bread (not cow intestines) and complex hopping.
Taste- Starts out as a mix of Polish rye bread and a barley wine like sweetness. Roasted malts then do a well balanced waltz across my taste buds to a slightly milk chocolatey finish.
Mouthfeel- A very smooth ale with more sweetness than expected. Sweet and roasted malts mixed well with the English style hop flavors. Making for a very well balanced EBA.

Pours dark brown. Foamy, medium, light brown head that fades slowly.
Smells roast malt, chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, raisin, dark fruit and lightly earthy.
Taste dark fruit, caramel malt, Roast malt, light nuttiness and hints of Piney. Finish is semi-sweet with multi and Piney linger. Medium body and creamy medium carbonation.

Dark brown with a ruby tinge, no haze but moderate carbonation. Topped with 2.5 fingers of brown, frothy head.
Smells malty and dark, with notes of molasses, toffee and caramel.
Dark fruits, toffee, toasted and malty. Hints of cherries, Christmas cake and brown sugar.
Medium to thick body, with moderate to low, frothy carbonation.
Great brew, I couldn't save this till 'twas the season. Passed by this brewery last year on my trip through Northern California, but got his online. Really good brew. Drinking Aug 6th, 2017.

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
Deep mahogany brown hue with some ruby tinge, the pour builds up thick creamy light tan head that stands with pretty good retention before collapsing to an eternal foamy layer on the surface and leaving lots of lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.
Loads of malty goodness in the aroma, it is showcase of chocolate, cocoa powder, brown sugar, roasted, caramel, vanilla, black biscuit, and dark bread. There is also a hint of dark fruit as well as some citric and spicy hop.
Still malt dominates the palate sensation with its chocolate, cocoa powder, brown sugar, roasted, caramel, vanilla, black biscuit, and dark bread while there is also a hint of dark fruit as well as some citric and spicy hop yet moderate bitterness from both hop and roasted malted in the finish.
Rather full body with some good crisp and some lively carbonation through the palate, creamy smooth mouthfeel, finish is very dry.
Solid malty brew with wide varieties of malt character, it is also tasty and very easy to drink. Alcohol is well concealed.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle stamped "Bottled 9/16/16" Poured into a pint glass.
Look: Dark chestnut brown with a two finger tan head. Good head retention and very nice contrast between the dark of the beer and the light of the head.
Smell: The only thing I am detecting is malts, albeit balanced and not overpowering.
Taste: Chocolate and bitter dark fruit, followed by malts. Finishes with warming alcohol on the swallow.
Feel: Thin to medium body and high carbonation. Light alcohol warmth on the swallow and back of the throat afterwards.
Overall: A pretty decent beer. Would be good for a snowy day when you don't want an Irish coffee, or after a couple of them :).

With a straight mahogany color, the flavors consists of raisins, caramel and slightly pronounced pine hops that can throw the overall flavors off from its intended style. The aroma is the same, albeit with a more roasty personality. The mouthfeel fits the style, with an aftertaste of dark rye bread with pine hops. Overall, this is slightly disappointing in terms of winter warming beers. I highly recommend the Back Home Gingerbread Stout from Golden Road Brewing Company. Other recommended beers for the wintertime is the Coconut Molasses Brown Ale from Duck Foot Brewing Company and the Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale from New Belgium Brewing.
