Had this on tap at MonkeyPod in Maui. A typical fruit beer. I didn't have much of it as it was my wife's drink. Its Okay at best. She liked it more

22oz bottle - I'm having watermelon with dinner tonight, so this is a nice preview, as such.

This beer pours a hazy, pale golden amber colour, with a near-teeming tower of puffy, rocky, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some rather loose Swiss cheese pattern lace around the glass as it slowly but evenly recedes.

It smells of musty watermelon rind, bready and doughy caramel malt, a bit of buttered toast, simple syrup, and a touch of musky yeastiness. The taste is grainy and bready caramel malt, a lesser wan wheatiness, muddled citrus, candied watermelon, and cantaloupe notes, dead yeast cells, more buttery nothingness, and a hint of earthy, weedy, and floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite mild in its insouciant frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and generally smooth, yet with a weak clamminess worming its way in as things move along here. It finishes off-dry, the mixed melon fruitiness and lingering sugary wheat cereal making for a strange atemporal experience.

Overall, this is a decent enough attempt at melding watermelon into the brewing process - I've only ever seen it be moderately successful in a couple of previous instances. So, as expected, the guest fruit gets somewhat lost in the mire of an already timid wheat ale, and isn't really as refreshing as one might have been anticipating.

I have been looking everywhere for this beer. I had this at a bar after a long bike ride, and it was super refreshing! I hate fruity citrus beer but the watermelon had a light undertone and still had a nice light beer taste, not sweet at all. I feel like they balanced this beer very well, but would have loved to taste more hops. I'm super sad I can't find this anywhere else! I'm a huge fan of Lost Coast, this beer only made me fall in love more!

Slightly hazy orange.. Nice foamy white head shows good retention and splotchy lacing. Everything about this beer screams Jolly Rancher.... Can't be natural, but still is very tasty... Wheat is more than present and provides a little sweetness that allows the melon flavor to bloom... It was like 90 degrees today, this was pretty nice in the heat.

On a super hot day this might rule. In January it's like shock top and jolly rancher watermelon collide.

Had on draft from Left Coast Burgers, Seoul, Summer 2016.

This is a very good summer beer.Light crisp wheat with a good amount of sweet watermelon. Great on a hot day.
