Very dark copper pour with a moderately sized tan head that slowly fades.
Aroma consists of mil chocolate, roasted malt, sultanas and just a hint of vanilla (it merges with the chocolate).
Loads of chocolate grain evident upon tasting: lots of nutty and toasty note with a hint of roasted grain but little of the roasty bitterness. Some light chocolate is apparent.
Good medium body, I would have liked it to be richer/creamier.

Appearance - Pretty much black, but a little less opaque than most porters. Poured one finger of head which reduced too quickly.

Smell - Strong, with odours of chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.

Taste - Probably the most chocolatey beer I've ever tried. This will appeal to porter fans with a sweet tooth, but is a little lacking in flavour aside from the chocolate.

Mouthfeel - Fairly light, very smooth.

Drinkability - Anyone who can handle Imperial Stouts will find this very drinkable.

Overall - This beer might work well as an introduction to dark beers for someone who loves chocolate. Seasoned beer drinkers will also appreciate this as a beer with few faults.

This beer pours a jet black colour that leaves no head with minimal carbonation,it smells of pure rich cocoa, coffee and hints of vanilla, and on taste the rich cocoa, chocolate flavours are dominant with a subtle coffee taste in the background and it goes down very, very smooth indeed,i have never tasted a beer with such a dominant cocoa taste such a beautiful dessert beer that i will be buying again.

This pours deep black with a very slight beige head which doesn't hang around for long.

Did someone say chocolate? More than just a dash of the Dutch cocoa I expect. An aroma of sweet goodness. None of the vanilla is evident.

Wonderful chocolate bitterness on the palate. A little bit of coffee in there and a touch of the vanilla right at the back.

Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Good length.

Loved it. I'll be revisiting often.

A - Very dark brown coloured beer poured into a pint glass with a few centimetres of beige head that slowly falls away.
S - Sweet chocolate & roasted notes dominate the smell. The vanilla is there but is very subtle.
T - Again chocolately on the taste with a sweetish caramel taste also coming through. A very vauge vanilla hint also in the taste.
M - Smooth, medium bodied with a pretty low carbonation. Slightly roasty chocolate taste lingers.
D - A good beer that I'll be drinking again.
