On tap at the brewery.

Deep golden straw, clear, thick foamy white head. Head settles slowly into thick cap.

Slight tropical fruit aroma, hint of malt sweetness.

Flavor is balanced with resinous hops, touch of sweet tropical fruits, grapefruit bitterness and balancing toffee like malt sweetness.

Moderate carbonation and lighter side of medium body. Smooth and easy drinking.

A nice all around old school flavor IPA. Balanced malt and hops.

Poured from a can dated 12/19/16. The beer pours an amber color with a three finger white head and great glass-coating lacing. The smell is grapefruit, lemon, with subtle pine. The taste is dank, oily resin. The citrus is very light and difficult to find, but there is some lemon underneath. There is a bitter, hoppy lingering aftertaste. The mouthfeel is oily, smooth, and thicker than expected for 6.2% abv. Overall a decent IPA, especially if you like dank, piney beers.

For the amount of hop flavor you get, it seems very overly bitter. Would not recommend.

On tap at La Taverna, downtown Austin. Good balance of malt sweetness to hops bitterness but it isn't anything special. At least it's not loaded with caramel malt which I detest in excess in IPAs. Actually, if this had some judicious dry-hopping, it could be quite good. The keg tasted as though it was reasonably fresh but I want to try a can when I can find one.
