picked up a growler at the brewery this past weekend. this was brewed for the seinfeld themed beer dinner at morrison's that recently went down. yada yada yada is the My Creation brown ale with snickers added during the brewing process!!! had a taste and had to get a fill of this amazing beer. enjoyed from a beer hunter snifter.

a - through the clear growler the beer is deep brown, almost black...pours more of a brown but settles dark, thick creamy dark brown head is gone quick...immediately and fully gone leaving a few sparse bubbles on the surface.

s - snickers. period. rich lush chocolate peanut caramel. absolutely stunning.

t - again, snickers. i can't believe what i am tasting. snickers in a beer. there is some brown sugar and crystalized malt in the background, but the snickers are driving this beer. some roast in between the snicker and the brown ale.

m - prickly carbonation...but smooth drinker.

o - i wouldn't believe that this could be pulled off as well as it was if i didn't have it myself. my gut would've guessed this to be done in a stout, but the brown ale is the perfect match for those flavors. one of the most unique and delicious beers i have had in a while. i'd say go hunt it down, but this one might be extinct at this point??? hoping this makes a return and is in regular rotation...bottles of this would be sublime. extremely happy to have gotten the chance to try this. what a pleasant surprise.

The appearance was a murky brown color with an eggshell white foamy head. Softly dissipated to leave some messy lace. The aroma had sweet roasted nuts, clean caramel malts, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some vanilla extract, sweet cracker (somewhat like animal crackers), and ended up having a little bit of dark bread at the end. The flavor took the prior mentioned aromas to blend fairly nice and sweet. Stabilizing little bit of bitterness from the dark chocolate coming in to pull down the sweet tones. Aftertaste slightly reminded me of what happens when oreo cookies meet snickers (just add some booze and this is the beer you’ll get). Finish absorbed the full flavors to steadily possess a spectacular blend of it all. The palate was about medium bodied with a full on effect of the sipping qualities claiming my tongue just the way I wanted it. Carbonation and ABV both felt good. Overall, wow, what an absolutely great brown ale. One of my favorite styles to have this time of the year.

Poured from Growler into Snifter. Was super anticipated to try this beer. My Creation (his Brown Ale that is fucking crack and my favorite he brews) mixed with snickers. Had a pint at the brewery as well for his opening.

A - Very dark almost black in color with a nice 1 & 1/2 in. Mocha colored head that went away pretty fast and left a small ring which also went away super fast. A little bit of bubbles comes up with a very thin skin.

S- Roasty, Milky Chocolate and a super strong smell of some kind of nut or mix of nuts. I smell mostly peanut. Slight caremel tint to it with some roast thrown in. Not a resemblense to my creation aside from the chocolate. The snicker smell was super strong. The smell completely blew me away. I knew it would smell good based on how Steve brews but I had no idea it would smell this strong and good.

T- Oh my god... melted snickers in a beer. That is the taste description. Mainly chocolate dominated but nutty with caremel and a Roasty finish with the roast lingering on.

M- Medium to heavy bodied, slightly creamy with a nice smooth finish.

O- Steve is becoming one of my favorite brewers regardless of location. I've had some world class beers and this guy is brewing world class stuff. He's on top of his game and has unique beers.. not unique in the sense of 1000 year old recipes but a Frickin snickerd brown ale... a oatmeal raisin cookie beer... this guy is no joke and I'm glad to be so close. This beer is extremely good gets the bonus points for just nailing the taste. Seek this one out...

The beer comes in a dark brown color.

The aroma is tons of roasted peanut, milk chocolate.

The flavor follows of roasted peanut, bitter chocolate, onto a fatty peanut butter like a Reese's cup. There's cocoa flavor on the back. The beer is robust and drinks towards a porter than a brow ale.

Pours a dark brown with a half inch off-white head. Smells and tastes like a snickers bar. Very unique flavor profile that really works. Moderately carbonated with a very creamy mouth feel.
