Sette: Fire Roasted Pizza is a pizza and sandwich place in East Richmond/Church Hill. The restaurant offers weekly food and drink specials and offers a hand full of quality craft brews. I highly recommend going on Thursday nights for their HALF OFF ALL BEERS special. This special alone will have me coming back again and again.

A: The atmosphere at Sette is pretty upbeat and modern. There is a small bar area that seats like 6-8 people with a TV, but I haven't seen too many patrons coming for the bar. Sette also has a nice area of tables and a decent outdoor patio. The three areas to sit, along with the nice modern yet casual feel to the dinning area give the atmosphere its high rating.

Q: The quality of the beer and the food were fine. I've only gotten craft beers here, and the craft beers are bottles only, and I haven't had a bad bottle yet. My friend said his beer warmed too quickly and thought that the beers may have been recently cooled. I haven't tried their taps yet, because why would I get a macro-brew when the craft beer here is really top notch.

S: The service at Sette is pleasant but not overwhelming. The waiter did take a little long when we first sat down, but more than made up for it with his attentiveness and pleasantness. Because the beer menu is fairly limited, I didn't quiz him on his beer knowledge, but he seemed like he was an average beer drinker. The menu does do a good job describing the craft beers so non-beer experts won't have to rely on the service to figure out what the beers would taste like.

S: The selection at Sette is fairly limited. They have about 6 craft beers on the menu and 10ish macro-brews that are a mix of taps and bottles. While the microbrew selection is limited, Sette definitely made some great calls on what beers to provide. Of the 6 beers, you will definitely be able to find one you like (2 Stouts, a Wheat (Allagash White A+ rated), an Abby (Ommegang Abbey Ale A+ rated), and 2 Ales) if my memory serves me correctly. Sette also offers Jefferson Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout, which is a FANTASTIC beer, and that alone bumps the selection up .5 in my book. So while Sette only has 6 craft beers, the ones they picked are home runs, and you will not be disappointed.

F: The food at Sette is very good. I've had the pizza every time I've been, mainly because I love pizza. The pizza is made with handmade/tossed dough and cooked in a brick oven. The pizza is great, with a phenomenal crust. Each pizza ranges from $8-11 and one pizza will feed one person pretty easily. They offer a wide selection of specialty pizzas and also offer build your own. Sette also lets you add a salad to your pizza for $2, which I like because I think it's a great deal (the Caesar salad was also good). I'll probably never have a sandwich here, but they looked decent. If you like pizza, then there really is no point in straying from the pizza selections.

V: Sette is really between the $ and $$ in my book. The pizzas range from $8-11 and the beers range from $2 PBR to $6 for Jefferson Reserve. Sandwiches are all around/under the $10 mark. Sette also offers some great daily specials. I don't remember all of them, but the one that should be mentioned on BA is the HALF PRICED BEERS on THURSDAY. I know I mentioned this earlier, but it needs to be said again. When you can get Jefferson Reserves for $3, you've got me hooked. I highly recommend going on Thursdays for this special.

Overall: Overall I really enjoyed Sette. The pizza is great and the prices are very affordable. The atmosphere is nice with a variety of seating options and the servers are also pleasant. The daily specials are also another reason to check the place out. While the craft beer selection is limited, the ones Sette picked are top notch craft beers in my book (and BA book for that matter). So if you're in the Richmond area and looking for a good pizza in a comfortable environment and a great craft beer, Sette is a good bet. I highly recommend this place, and once again go on HALF PRICE BEER THURSDAY NIGHTS.
