i wasnt sure it could get any worse than the blackberry edition of this, but it does, it gets way worse, and its this one, wow is this ever offensive! like the other flavors of this, its widely available, cheap as can be, and only beer in the loosest imaginable sense, there is nothing to suggest its grain based at all. this one is electric blue, the same color as the can, and smells and tastes like a melted push pop or blue slurpee, but with some metals and fusel alcohol sprinkled in. this is just packed with sugar, probably too intense there for even those who like this sort of thing, i cant imagine drinking a whole can. the thing that killed me here, aside from this tasting like cheap alcoholic candy with the wrapper melted into it, was long it lasted on my palate. i had a couple of beers after, some food, none of it mattered, i tasted this for hours, and the aftertaste is not nice. im sure there is a crowd for these, otherwise they wouldnt be at every gas station in the country, but these are not for beer drinkers, even beer drinkers on a budget. this is just so artificial and bad, ill do my best to avoid the other flavors of this at all costs. also, that many of these are listed as fruit and field beers is insane, its flavored malt liquor at best..

If you want something with a fair amount of alcohol in it, is cheap, and doesn't taste like a beer, this is a great choice. It really just tastes like a damn good blue raspberry soda. You feel and taste the alcohol a little bit, but it's hidden enough to be a bit dangerous. It's very carbonated and sweet. Seriously, you could probably pour it into a cup and give it to someone and tell them it's a new Mountain Dew flavor and they'd probably be very convinced. I bought a four pack of pint sized cans for something like $4.84. That's 64 ounces for under $5. Compare that to most 6 packs of beer being 72 ounces for around $10. It's a great value, if you like sweeter, fruitier beverages. Recommend this to people who like soda, if you don't then this probably won't be for you. It's especially great if you're low on cash but want something to kick back and relax with, at this price you won't feel guilty at all.

24 oz. can:

Pours light blue. A thin foamy head dissipates leaving no real lacing.

The smell is of cotton candy with a touch of alcohol.

The taste is of cotton candy with a hint of grain. Sweet, but surprisingly not sticky. Barely a beer.

Surprisingly, it has a bit of smoothness. Alcohol is present but not raw.

A malt liquor with a cotton candy character. Sweet, but not sticky. I wouldn't get again. One and done.

24oz can poured into Duvel tulip. FEB1819 stamped on bottom of can. So presumably it's still fresh for 4 more months. Grabbed it from the grocery store for 2 for $4, a sale price about 30 cents per can less.

Appearance - Pours tiny white head that dissipates almost instantly. Opaque neon blue body that almost seems to fluoresce upon a backlight, with extremely faint carbonation. Very bizarre, but I mean it's exactly what I'd have expected. 4

Smell - Smells like candy blue raspberry. Like a freezer pop or literally any candy that goes by that flavor. Faintly medicinal. No off characters though other than the fact that it smells like candy, but you kind of know you're getting into that by the packaging alone. 4

Taste - Basically tastes like what it smells like. Blue koolaid with a bit of alcohol underneath it all. Very well hidden overall, but with this much flavoring added, they could probably hide a lot. 4

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied. A little sticky but mostly clean. 4

Overall - If you've ever wanted to fake up some Romulan Ale from Star Trek, this is it. There's really nothing resembling a beer here, however between the name and packaging, this is exactly what I expected it would be like. Legit just looks, smells, and tastes like someone spiked blue koolaid with some vodka. It's definitely not what I'd ever look for in a beer, but considering Malt Liquors already taste horrific, this is actually an improvement at best or a lateral move at worst. I know this is listed currently as a 'fruit and field beer' but I'm rating it in style as a Malt Liquor because there's no way in hell you can barely call this a beer let alone a fruit beer. 4

Bought 22oz can Don Quiojte $2.00
Sweet candy smell like those pixie sticks
Bright neon light blue color
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Sweet sugary taste, slight tartness like candy. Alcohol very well hidden.
Overall just like soda. Wouldn't call it a beer.

Poured from a 24 oz. can. Has a turquoise color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is sweet, berries. Taste is also very sweet, like blue raspberry soda, light alcohol being detected as it gets warm. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall, not bad at this price point, but I wouldn't need to drink it again.

Appearance: Turquoise blue in color, quite clear, with lavish, fat bubbles that cling to the glass walls, only occasionally rising to the surface, The lacing is quite sparse, just a patchy dusting of foam on the surface. What lacing rings the glass walls, in a faint and broken ring, is little to behold.

Aroma: A strong, sweet, wave greets the senses, rather like Blue Raspberry Icee, if memory serves. There is a slight hint of alcohol in the aroma, but only faintly, most impressive, considering the high ABV of 8%.

Taste: Opens with Icee Blue Raspberry flavor, with hints of pineapple and coconut, and maybe a bit of mango. To my taste, there is no raspberry at all, though the flavor is pleasant. Its just not raspberry. The ABV of 8% is artfully concealed, not being present in the taste, and scarcely felt, with only a little warming. No harsh or hot alcohol notes are present. Finishes with a mild, but lingering sweet note.

Mouth feel: Soft, decently full, with just a hint of carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: Its not bad, not much like a beer, really. It would be quite refreshing on a hot summer day. Full disclosure, its 25F at present, perhaps not seasonally appropriate. This could be an interesting base for a beer cocktail, as well. For those who may be wondering, my tongue was *not* stained blue.

Presentation: Packaged in a twenty-four ounce aluminum can, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Sourcing: Purchased in Kempner, TX on December 31st of 2017 for $2.29 plus tax for a twenty-four ounce can.
