Had this one at March Madness 2015. Lots of carbonation evident as the bottle is popped. After that, it pours a golden and light amber color with about 4/5" of white head. Lots of retention, good looking beer. Aroma was a dry, yeast, and spritzer like quality to it, probably from the high carbonation. Has a somewhat clean yet funky presence as well, if its a barnyard, they cleaned it recently.

Taste has a hay, grass and clean barnyard feel, a tiny bit of dry lemon. Its a bigger saison than I am used to. Alcohol is there. The brett is a cleaner strain for sure. I liked the beer, but cost wise, it really isn't a repeat purchase kind of thing. Always happy to see someone else pop a bottle of it though!

750 ml bottle
Served in an oversized wine glass
2014

This was more of a geyser than a gusher. It definitely has some live action. Once I managed to get some in a glass it pours a hazy amber color and is topped with half a glass of sticky off white head that leaves some decent lacing.

It has some spiced pear along with some funk and dank aromas.

The flavor follows the aroma. It starts out with flavors of a Belgian strong pale ale. It has the carbonation of a saison. It has some funky and dank basement flavors from the brett. Combined it makes a delicious beer.

Light mouthfeel with a metric shit ton of carbonation. Kind of a champagne feel

The brett has worked wonders. This is a fantastic saison. This is exactly what I hope for each time I try one. I am grateful for the recommendation at Total wine on my trip to the greater Seattle area three years ago.

Bottle #18752
Best by 4/2021

Appearance - hazy golden color with white head

Smell - limes, lemon, ginger, coriander, clove, brett funk

Taste - limes, lemon, green apple, ginger, coriander, clove, brett funk

Mouthfeel - medium bodied, full carbonation, citrus upfront, spices in the middle, brett funk at the back end, refreshing and crisp, a bit tart/sour

Overall - very good Saison here, each sip gives off a different experience. Complex flavour. Recommended. It is a tad pricy, tho.

Price Point - $6.99/12.7 oz bottle

375 ml bottle poured into a tulip

Pours a hazy golden orange with a bright white full, creamy head, lots of carbonation and lacing. Barnyard funk, wet horse blanket, hay, yeast, apricot, peaches, very aromatic, soft touch of bread malts. Like the nose, slight funk notes, wet hay, earthy, herbal notes, lemon peel, finish is very dry with lingering notes of lemon and fruity vitamins, spice and pepper notes as the beer warms, very complex with lots of depth, great beer. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a creamy texture and lots of carbonation popping on the palate.

Overall: I really enjoyed this beer, going to have to pick up some of their other beers, has the classic saison notes with the brett that adds a nice touch of funk, very drinkable and smooth.
