On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Not my usual cup-o-tea but worth a try. Super organic lloking head & mild but resounding funk on the nose. Tart is the first impression on the taste buds. Lacing is impressive. A bit of lemon/citrus starts to peek through & a lingering in the palate is both unctous & dry. Not at all unpleasant. Not a very resounding compliment but I can recommend this as change of pace.

Thanks Sonny. Tampa 2015 review dump; full notes taken during consumption.

A- Beyond murky apricot golden pour to a snifter from the 750ml. Milky looking with some huge spongy chunks. Foamy bottle bomb with a huge white head with good retention.

S- Brett is the name and the game here. Tropical Brett is the dominant aroma with musty dry straw barnyard just a bit. Apricot and sour peach comes to mind. Spicy and fruity.

T- Stone fruit flesh and pith comes through with a somewhat tropical feel from the Brett. More of the fruit Brett with less of the funk. A bit of straw, grapes and cherry. Floral and a peppery spicy coriander Saison yeast profile.

MF- Light overall body suits the tropical Brett with a slightly dry fell but more sweets than most Brett brews. Very high effervescent carbonation and a foam bomb at times. Lots of work out of the Brett.

A great use of Brett in this beer. Somewhere between a fruit and funk bomb from the wild yeast but the flavor and body are spot on.

Super approachable Brett'd saison, no crazy phenols, neither plastics nor pepper. In fact, this is surprisingly juicy/fruity for a saison, particularly one with Brett. Maybe it's the pear juice conditioning? Either way, it's quite tasty, if perhaps a touch filling as you go (none of that Gobi desert dryness that Brett can sometimes impart). Lovely stuff, really.
