One pint and 9.4 fluid ounces in a have been released into a clear glass liter mug from a paraffin encapsulated brown bottle. The color revealed is an opaque ruby red, with a head just slightly tinted pink, which lasted only a moderate amount of time. The aroma is solely of sour cherry and it's bold. Cherries are just about all there is to taste and they come in a delightful way that straddles sour and tart. This is dangerous, as it goes refreshingly light across the tongue and is full of flavor; but, there's no notice of the 8.5% ABV until the warming of the esophagus. The idea of a hybrid Flemish Red and kriek brew is a brilliant one, especially since it's done so remarkablely. If you like either style, you must try this.

Poured from bottled with best by 10/2021 label.
Mostly opaque brown color with 1 finger of quickly dissipating head. Light lacing.
Aroma of malt, sour fruit and yeast
Flavor is classic kriek, sour cherries, lactic sourdough, balsamic vinegar
Nice body, thick with slight carbonation
Overall an excellent kriek with classic lines. There may be better of this style but not many.

Had this on tap at Engine House 9. I'm not much for fruit beers or sours, but this one was pretty good for me. Refreshing tartness, nice flavor from the fruit, sourness not so intense as to turn me off from it.

Its always funny when leftpaw makes a logs-done joke when he walks out of the bathroom during March Madness.
Anyways, this one is usually on shelves and a decent pickup for around $20. Pours a dark red and light amber kind of color with a fine, slightly less colorful light amber head 1/5". Aroma is tart cherry and wheat(?). There is a slight woody feel to the nose.
Taste is more of the cherry tartness and about a 6 on the 1-10 sour scale for a Flanders red ale. Malt body is adequate and well placed for a flanders. The mouthfeel keeps dropping more sour making me think about it climbing up to a 7 on the 10 pt scale, but not distracting or obliterating the style (I'd say its slightly less sour than Oude Tart). Any funk is very soft and indiscernable methinks, this just crushes cherry and doesn't let nuance get in the way beyond the maltiness and woodiness. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Average acidity. Carbonation is also about 6 out of 10.
Its an enjoyable beer, but when Oude Tart is all over the place for the same price or even slightly less, this just becomes a once in a blue moon kind of beer.

Logsdon Farmhouse Ales "Cerasus"
750 ml bottle, capped and waxed, "Bottle No. 23231 Best By: 10/2021"
$18.99 @ Cherry Hill Wine, Liquor & Beer (Wegmans), Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Cerasus pour a slightly hazy chestnut-brown body with golden-orange highlights beneath a short head of frothy-then-creamy light tan. The head retention isn't the best, but that's common for sour beers, and once the head has dropped there's unfortunately not much lacing left behind. The smell is of tart and acidic crushed cherries and oak backed by some sweetish, very lightly caramelish malt. The flavor, not surprisingly, follows exactly. It's interesting in that it's so sublimely flavorful and refined. Nothing is overdone, not the cherries nor the tartness nor the funkiness or very moderate bitterness. It's very nicely polished and rounded, and the cherry is completely authentic. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and remarkably smooth with just a minimal fine-bubbled carbonation that seems 100% natural although it's probably not, having come out of an oak foeder, although you never know. It's really almost compellingly drinkable, continually calling to you to take another sip. Part of that I'm sure is it's softness and rounded, polished balance, but some of it is also that it's giving you a little bit and making you want to find more - more funkiness, more cherry, more caramel. Really stunning. It's not like any other beer I've ever tasted and I'm quite smitten with it. Well worth seeking out!
