Super chill place, about 2 blocks from the Croton-Harmon Amtrak station. Great selection of beers, both to enjoy and to take to go. 10 beers or so on tap, the rest in bottles and can. Very nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Has the vibe of a neighborhood bar but with really good beer.

I have found some pretty great rare beers here, stuff by Hill Farmstead, Grimm, and Pipeworks on tap the times I have visited. Pretty mellow spot, art on the walls, music some nights. Not a huge selection in bottles/cans, but diverse enough to have multiple options for most styles. You can drink their bottles/cans in the bar if you pay a tiny fee.

They're moving to a larger location around the corner soon, will have nice views and more food options.

Homebrew store with a 6-7 seat bar and a few tables opposite and in the back. I did not check out the home brew stuff, but the tap list was excellent - matched what said online - Friendly bartender.

What a gem! Fully stocked with craft beer to buy and a full selection of brewing supplies! I mean fully stocked! Grains, LME, DME, tubing, yeast, hops... Awesome!!

When I came in I was greeted immediately. The proprietor helped me - literally walking around the store and showing me where the items on my list were (brewing a Tripel). He also was able to dish out some good advice on what yeast to use and pointed out if the Alpha on the hops differed from the recipe. Great experience.

While not a bad store, the Green Growler isn't a great store. It's got a decent beer selection though almost everything is kept at room temperature. They fill growlers there, which is nice.

The homebrewing selection is very lacking. It's probably the smallest homebrew shop selection I've ever seen. Everything on display could probably fit into my car.

In my visits there (I've been there twice), the guy behind the counter was about as helpful as a rash. He said 'hi' when I came in and quickly returned to what he was doing on his computer. When asked if he had a particular grain, he replied he could order it for me. I've heard this is a common response to such questions.

If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd probably visit more, but I don't.

Meh. There are better places for beer. Especially fresh beer. If you closely watch their Facebook page beers are tapped and then tapped again. They are taken off, left to warm up, and then put on tap again. Now this would be ok if they had a walk in cooler but they don't. They have two kegerators which hold seven kegs. They have eight taps and then when they have a tasting where are the beers which are taken off? Oh they are put in their room temperature or worse storage room. In fact, all their beers are kept at room temperature for days possibly weeks before they are tapped. Not good. Stale beer, bad tastes, well you know how that works with unpasteurized beer.

Oh they have some home brew supplies too but save your money and order online. Usually you'll be disappointed by their selection.

This place is only for the locals who feel the need to support a local business and have the disposable income to do so.

I heard the place was better when some guy named "Bill" worked there and it has lost it's vibe.

Finally made it over to this place. Just off of Route 9 in Croton-0n-Hudson. Housed in a smaller sized store front. Its been open for a few months now and they are proudly pouring 6 BA worth options for growler fills. Currently its Founders, Long Ireland, Victory, Chelsea x 2 and keegan, with a selection from Captain lawrence "on deck". Nice...gotta have growler fills in a decent beer store these days...they also stock a respectable selection of bottles and cans (check for the up to date details) in a small cooler unit.

Also: Homebrew supplies, beercentric soap, shampoo, chips, hot sauce, salsa, mustards, pickles, even beer specific marinade, and I'm sure some other beer related items I'm forgetting about.

Great new locally owned, non strip mall kinda place thats well worth supporting! Gonna keep checking for continued interesting growler fill options and likely will pick up some hot sauce next time.
