Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy orangey color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of candi sugar and Belgian malt is a bit simplistic for the style. Taste is also a mix between some candi sugar notes with light Belgian malt notes. I hard a though time finding some notes of fruity ester and yeast notes as I usually associate with the style. Body was about average with somewhat of an oily texture and medium carbonation with no apparent alcohol. A bit of a letdown with many characteristics I usually associate with the style that were not easily identifiable.

The beer is gold in color with some copper notes too. No head :( Some bubbles come out... The aroma is sweet, fruity, and some belgium yeast in there. Smells like a tripel for me...

In the mouth, it's so nice. Fruity with some sugar notes. Warmth. Honey like in the mouth. The mouthful suggest this beer is full bodied. The alcohol is well hidden. The is a true sipper. Complex and dense. Delicious. Feels like a tripel for me.

Poured from a 341ml bottle, no #freshbeer info even though there are notches on the label for that.

Pours a very hazy, light peach-orange color with 3 fingers of head and little scraps of lacing. Not quite the same as the real Belgians. Aroma is better with bit of mint, lots of herbs and citrus fruit. Strong apricots in the flavor with a spice-like edge but has a musty feel that detracts from the flavor. Needs more of a refreshing citrus aspect like some of its counterparts.

341ml Bottle from March Omni QC for $3.50

Appearance - Slightly hazy amber colour with a large size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is a low amount of carbonation showing and there is some faint lacing. The head lasted for around 2-3 minutes.

Smell - Breads/grains, clove/yeast, apples

Taste & Mouth - There is a low amount of carbonation and I can taste breads/grains mixed with some ginger and some apples. There is also so clove/corriander and a bit of banana. It ends with a fruity/clove aftertaste.

Overall - Not bad.. maybe more of a saison taste wise than a tripel. For the price, it's worth a try. Not something I'd fill the trunk with, but worth picking up.

Appearance: It has a nice deep cloudy golden/orange color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately and leaves little lacing. Good amount of sediment in the bottom of my glass.

Smell: The aromas definitly give out hints of apples, spices, bready malts and Belgian yeast.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some citrus/apples, bready malts, yeast notes and spices.

Mouthfeel: It has a low/medium carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with good flavors and aromas.

Bottled in 2012 sometime- the "bottled on" part of the label does not appear to have been marked.

Beer is an opaque honey colour. No head.

Smell contains bready malt, spices, honey and some subdued light fruit.

Spices are upfront in the taste, along with light fruit and honey. Spices include coriander, clove, pepper, ginger. Bready. Quite a dry tripel.

Full bodied, moderate to high carbonation- a bit much, tingly. Bready.

Overall, pretty good. A very spice-focused tripel.
