Pours a reddish orange. Maybe some Vienna or similar malt in the grain bill? Minimal head. A sweetish scent, with a subtle hop aroma. Mouthfeel is surprisingly full and slightly creamy. Carbonation is low to moderate.

Initial taste is sweet and malty, but finish is long and hoppy. A slight hint of spice (mostly coriander) in the aftertaste.

While I wasn't immediately taken with this saison, it definitely grew on me as I finished the bottle. I would recommend this with food, since it seemed to balance out the sweet flavors a bit. Might be interesting to try this with cheese (especially aged and blue cheeses).

Overall, a little on the sweet side for me. But, unlike some of the other sweet saisons I've tried, this one is pretty drinkable. My impression is mixed, but maybe that will change after I give this one another shot.

Draft: Poured a dark amber color ale with an average size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of residual sugar with light rustic malt notes is OK. Taste is a mix of residual sugar with light rustic malt notes and limited ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Lacking complexity and ester with plain caramel and sugar coming through a bit too much; probably not something I will seek again.

Sticker says its 5.2% alcohol not 5.5%.

The beer is dark copper in color, slightly veiled. No or very little foam on top of it. The aroma is full on spices, caramel and Belgium yeast. Medium intensity in the aroma. Taste is very sugary, spicy... The finish is quite spicy almost peppery. Too spicy, it's seems unbalanced. I prefer the saison to be more in equilibrium between the spices and fruits. A good beer but not my go-to saison.

Appearance: It has a nice deep golden/orange color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately fast and leaves no lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of Saison yeast, cloves, some apples and some floral hops.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a some bready yeast, light cloves, faint apples, some citrus and floral hops.

Mouthfeel: It has a med/high carbonation with a decent overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer but is definitely lacking some flavors and aromas.

Highly thrist quenching saison style beer (on point with the bottle description). Spicy aftertaste. A little too much carbonation. Just the right amount of hops. Worth seeking out! Bottled from a grocer in St Jean sur Richelieu.

(3.5) A: Slightly hazy copper with noticeable carbonation and a moderately tall head that quickly recedes to a thin blanket.

(3.75) S: Honey, banana, grasses, cloves, toffee, vanilla, peppermint, and a bready backbone. A fairly sweet smelling saison (honey, banana, vanilla) that’s nice coupled with more of the farmhouse elements.

(3.25) T: Grasses, floral-like, grains, sour lemon, tart citrus, and clove. Not nearly as robust and complex as aroma indicated with a more of a dry and straight-forward floral quality.

(3.25) M: Med-lighter bodied with moderate carbonation. Crisp and clean with minimal slickness/oil.

(3.5) D: This is a nice, simple and dry saison but not something I would likely revisit – prefer more complexity and body in the style.
