This seems to be a popular choice for lager drinkers that want something a bit more upmarket than the standard drinks, but not too adventurous.

Bought a pack of 4 330ml bottles, poured into a half pint Stella glass.

The smell is very indistinct and indeed does not linger, having dissapeared in about half a second upon smelling.

The taste and appearence is standard Euro lager.

When I visited Italy this was one of only a few beers widely available and as such I built up a bit of a taste for it. In bottle form however, there is nothing distinct about it.

Still, it's not bad as per se. Easily drinkable, but will not become one of my choice lagers.

This is a very pleasant, well-balanced lager with a nice light maltiness and tangy hoppiness that balances the malt and makes for a very refeshing drink. If you like the pale lager style you should try it despite the negative ratings. It is heads and shoulders above the Buds and Millers of the world.

Beer geeks be damned I think this is a very fine euro pils.

Appearance is a bit light but certainly well made with very good head/lacing

Smell is a uniquely sweet pils grain, lovely

Taste is about as nice a summer sessionable beer as I can think of

Mouthfeel a tad thin, but within spec

Overall an enjoyable beer I've been drinking for years

found this at the local grocer and not having tried or knowing it's source decided to try it

poured into a pint glass , good carbonation, 3" head that goes away quickly
served cold around 48° taste of slight hops , rice malt not tasting the barley malt though, this is a bright-beer pilsner style similar to a presidente beer, with a light straw color. finish/mouthfeel not unpleasant, no aftertaste from some afterthoughts in the brewing ..a hot summer day beer after you cut the grass .. a little pricey for what you get , i realise that this is an IN BEV product like becks and a few others this tastes better than the USA Beck's of similar style.

sooo try it not bad, i might bump the rate up to around 3.5 on my review .. .besides it's got a groovy looking bottle you can put up on the shelf with the other one's you've tried

I don't totally see the appeal here, this is moderately better than the standard BMC stuff, but the price does not match the quality, and to be honest, the beer is pedestrian regardless of its price. pours a generic clear fizzy gold, with just an inch of rapidly fading white head. I usually guzzle these from the bottle though. an abundance of pilsner malts cascades the nose, with the adjunct malt sweetness and metallic aromas as well, bittering hops only. the taste matches, malt forward, not a totally corn beer, but far closer than craft offerings. mouthfeel is the best feature here, this one really goes down easy, is only a little filling in great quantity, and actually refreshes pretty well when its cold. the lightness and clean characteristics are appreciated, but the flavors just aren't bold enough to hold my attention. if this was cheaper, I could see it having a role to play in the greater beer world, but it prices itself out of that range, and doesn't back it up with taste, my biggest complaint. I drank a lot of this in Australia, always "borrowing" from my neighbors outside fridge, but revisiting it just has not had the same level of satisfaction for me.

12oz green bottle at fridge temp poured into a pint glass. A few days over the best buy date, but not to worry.

Pours out a clear straw yellow color, similar to that of piss. Lots of streaming carbonation bubbles. Decent head off of the pour, fluffy white, fades to a thin soapy, fairly retentive layer.

Initially it smells quite skunky off of the pour, luckily this doesnt fades once the beer opens up in the glass. Not much aroma. Slightly chalky mineral lager yeast. Maybe a bit of very light, sweet malt.

Sweet cracker like light malt, mineral water lager yeast, a bit chalky.

A bitey, strong carbonation. A bit watery with a light body, maybe not as much as your average American adjunct, but very similar in a lot of ways. The mouthfeel does make very a thirst quenching, refreshing beer.

Not something I'd likely drink again, average at best.

For me this is nostalgia. Remembering days in Italy drinking with friends on rooftops, I am not overwhelmed, but not underwhelmed either. It is as previously stated from other reviews, average at best. Fortunately, after brewing my own and being introduced to a number of awesome brews, I cannot go back to these types of flavorless standards. Yet I can respect that they serve a role and function in the beer world, and for me it is nostalgia. So thank you Peroni.

Serving: Green bottle poured into footed pilsener
Served: 22 June 2013

Appearance: Magnificently clear, and golden color. Looks like the color of a field of wheat ready for harvesting. Good carbonation coming up from the bottom of the glass. Unfortunately, there is no head to speak of. This beer would look incredible for the style if it had, and was able to maintain, a sizable head.

Smell: Like most green bottle beer, there's a little hint of that 'skunk' smell right after you crack it, but nothing overpowering or off-putting. I let it sit a minute or two to air itself out and then the smell really freshened up. Smelled like some sweet bread with just a hint of aroma hops if you smelled really deep.

Taste: Like your average Euro Pale. Crisp, clean, and uncomplicated. No really assertive tastes, but no off tastes either. Just a kiss of hop bitterness on the back end makes this one really nice and drinkable for the style. I would say this is one of the better representations of the style.

Mouthfeel: Great carbonation really compliments the overall feel of this one. It is not a heavy beer (but not super thin either), but without the good carbonation, this one would feel flat and unimpressive.

Overall: This is one of the better Euro Pales I have had, and is not something to shy away from within that style. That being said, overall, this beer is pretty boring, and is not something I would find the need to to have again. Compared to the other Euro Pale I recently reviewed (Stella Artois), this one is below that one in most categories.

I had this in a bottle.

The flavor was surprisingly decent. It has an big malt for a Euro lager. It has some off adjunct touches, but it's pretty decent.

The mouthfeel and finish are good. The mouthfeel has this malty roundness compared to other poor European lager options. Not that lagers are the issue, but some just aren't on par.

lousy beer. the only difference between this and a budweiser is the italian name and the lack of corn sweetness (which is a good thing). perfect beer if you hate beer but want to be seen drinking something seemingly tasteful. ugly urine yellow color, zero lacing or retention, over carbonated, no lasting head, faint malty sweetness with no bitterness or aromas other than grain. this beer is a poor imitation of heinekin or stella.

I enjoyed this beer but it was not fantastic by any means. Slightly sweet taste and but pretty decent finish. I liked the smell, not sure if this would be better on on draft or what. I don't think it would necessarily be improved or what. Solid gold color. Not remarkable but reminds me of a trip to Rome. A good alternative to wine if you are at an Italian restaurant.

Best before date of 01/11/13

Appearance - Pours a crystal clear, bright pale yellow with a white, finger width head. Fair retention. Consistent bubbles provide a nice halo on the surface along the edge of the glass.

Smell - Somewhat skunky. Hints of grain and sweetness. Not much else.

Taste - Almost flavorless. Ghostly traces of grain, sweetness and grassy bitterness. It's so light I can barely discern any prominent character.

Mouthfeel - Light and crisp, with a smooth, semi-dry finish.

Overall - Inoffensive, if only because there's very little here to begin with. Best before date is close to 2 and a half months past, so this is a candidate for re-review.

A - Fizzy yellow beer, but head has a touch of retention and lace.

S/T - Sweet cereal grains. Not much else, no real off-flavors/aromas.

M - Light body, very high carbonation, abrasive across the palate. Not smooth, with a lingering metallic astringency.

O - Meh. Another forgettable Euro lager.

What we have here is just another Euro Pale Lager. The appearance is a golden yellow color and very clear. The taste is somewhat hoppy, can be a bit sour, but overall relatively neutral and nothing special. Not a beer I’d drink that often or pick before Heineken.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that died down but consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are moderately strong aromas of skunk in the nose along with notes of grassy hops and hints of grainy malts.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but also has notes of adjunct malts such as corn along with a light amount of bitterness. Hints of grassy hops linger through the finish.
M: It feels light-bodied, a bit watery and a little clean and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a couple of good qualities such as its appearance and mouthfeel (considering its style), but the skunkiness in the aroma and taste render it to be an average pale lager.

Picked this up in a single bottle at the local Kroger but had seen it several times at local Italian eateries

Pale almost clear appearance.

Smells almost like nothing very bland average smell.

Very plain taste as well very light on the mouth and very smooth and drinkable.

This beer is almost neutral nothing overpowering nothing special it is very drinkable and I would drink it again and it will probably be my beer of choice the next time I hit up the local pizza joint. Give it a shot.

I guess I expected a shitty lager when I found this in the House of 1,000 beers mixed six section. Pour is as clear yellow as it gets without being a light beer. Another note on appearance is the weird notch's in the back of the bottle. I guess that's for opening a beer with another beer. Screams classy.

Head was just a mere half inch and I was surprised to see it not fizz into nothing. Smell is your typical corn, musk, and hop mix. Taste is equally the same maybe some cardboard and moldy hops yet it taste as refreshing as filtered water. Makes my stomach rumble a tad. Mouthfeel is light and crisp.

Overall these Euro lagers are all the same. Light like spring water. Heavy on corn and sunk hops. Little revisit value.

Served on tap in a 20 oz. pilsner glass

Appearance-Served a straw colored brew with a one finger pure white head. The head faded almost instantly to give only a light amount of lacing.

Smell- The aroma is heaviest of some malt and a light caramel smell. There is a light musty smell as well. Nothing too great.

Taste - The taste starts out of a bready nature mixed with a light caramel sweetness. As the taste advances some light grassy flavors come to the tongue. In the end the grassy flavors grow stronger and mix with some paper tastes to leave a rather odd (and not in a good way) flavor on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was below average to average in terms of its thickness with a carbonation level that is very average. About right for the style, but nothing special.

Overall –Ah…Nothing really too great. I would pass on this if I were you.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Nothing like an unsettling documentary on nuclear weapons paired with a classic Peroni, amiright? This stuff pours a clear pale straw topped by a finger of short-lived off-white foam. The nose comprises corn, wheat, light flowers, and dry grass. Hey, it's not skunked! The taste brings in more of the same, though now the corn is in charge, and the wheat is decidedly funkier. The body is light, with a moderate carbonation and a watery feel. Overall, a fairly inoffensive beer, but one that just doesn't taste all that great to me.

330 mL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a chalk white head. Aroma is hay, grass, cardboard and a bit dusty. Flavour is soft malty, slight sweet and a subdued bitterness. Finish is soft bitter-sweet, tart banana flavoured. Well tasting despite the pale look and the aroma.

Pale straw color, almost no color. It looked like water as I poured it into a glass. A short lasting half finger of head.
Strong metallic and rice smell.
Not half bad taste. Mild for sure, but without the normal metallic taste for this style. A slight bitter note.
Fizzy texture and light body.
Nothing to see (or taste) here.

A: Poors with a small head and decent lacing. Pale see through gold color.

S: Smells like wet grain.

T: It was a lot like Michelob Ultra. Basically a watered down none offensive lager. Not bad, but not worth $4. Drop of malt with 2 drops of hops.

M: Good refreshing carbonation.

O: It's a watered down lager. Nothing else.

Bottle: Poured a super light yellow color ale with a small bubbly head with almost no retention and no lacing. Aroma is quite bland with almost no characteristics. Taste is also very bland and thin with loads of watery notes. Body is light with spritzy carbonation. I haven’t had such a thin and bland beer in a long time.

Very pretty bright gold clear liquid with a substantial white head.

Aroma is sweet and slightly grainy.

On first taste, I can pick up a lot of grainy notes and a little bit of hops. As the beer warms it unfortunately starts getting way too sweet.

Lingering sweetish aftertaste.

Decent medium mouthfeel.
