Outstanding beer. Great heat that complemented the spices and stout flavors perfectly. Well crafted with rich chocolate and coffee notes. Feel was big but not overly sweet. Compared nicely to Mexican Cake.

As good or better than any pepper stout I've had. Nice heat, full bodied, dark roast and char, plenty of chocolate and did I mention heat. Great beer for sure!

Stark black with a thick, dense mocha foam, deep char and smoky roast are met with chilies and cocoa via a slick, thick sticky body with a crisp fizz that develops nougat, dark chocolate and marshmallow in the semi-dry swallow.

Appearance: With an onyx body under a very, very thin head, tan in color and short-lived.

Smell: Roasted, blackened grains, some chipotle. Sharp French roasted coffee grounds. Chocolate, very mild vanilla and very mild citrus.

Taste: Roasted malts and heavy coffee-ish accents coated in a glaze of bitterish chocolate. Subdued sweetness. A lil' dollop of vanilla cream spiked with cinnamon. Growing roasting and chile pepper heat. Peppers throughout but not overbearing or squashing the other flavors. Earthy quality on the back half. Lightly citrus hops and bitterness. Roasty, chili-heated finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-low carbonation.

Overall: It's a bit reminiscent of Hunahpu, which is a good thing.

Poured every 5th of the month at the brewpub, this is every bit as good as more famous versions of barrel aged spiced imperial stouts like Mexican Cake and Hunahpu's. Perfect balance of pepper, chocolate etc. If not the best beer brewed in Georgia, it's dammed close.

This beer is the best beer made in Georgia to date. Batches vary, so its always worth the effort. Heat, cinnamon, roast, admirable viscosity. It has it all going on.

If I could make it to the wrecking bar everyone they had this beer I would be there until the keg kicks. This is hands down one of the greatest beers I have ever had.

Superb brew.
Tasting notes come to you in the order described with spicey aftertaste lingering. Not over the top but good for a fan of heat. Well balanced for 11% and hides it well.

Brewpub reports "our Cinco de Siberious, Mexican RIS. It's an infusion of cinnamon, vanilla, 2 types of peppers, cocoa nibs and rye barrel aged."

Too sweet, a bit harsh (ABV + chilies) and a bit boozy but this big beer is otherwise thoroughly enjoyable. It sure seemed like some coconut had been added to the cask from which I sampled this (in VIP area of a beer fest, so seems plausible). The aroma suggested a world-class chocolate-coconut candy.

O: over the top imperial stout is well worth seeking out.

Had this at Ponce De Leon beer fest, on tap poured into pint glass

Poured very smooth and a very dark brown color with a small frothy head. The smell was rich in chocolate and small amount of chili. The taste on the front end seriously tasted like dark chocolate cake in liquid form then had a bit of heat on the back end and ended very clean, leaving a sweet heat in your mouth.

Overall: this is one of my favorite Russian Imperials to date it was very nicely balanced and tasted delicious! Bravo, Wrecking Bar!

Easily the best beer from Georgia. I've made it to every tapping, but one. It is a bit inconsistent, but it's always phenomenal. Sometimes there's more heat and chili notes, other times it's more sweet and chocolatey... all implied notes are always present, though. I prefer the batches with more heat over the more sweet ones. And then you get lucky and it's perfectly balanced... when this happens, it's something special. I personally think it's happened two or three times so far. Good lord, that's a mighty fine brew...
Every batch has still been the best beer I've had from Georgia, hands down. The perfectly balanced batches are some of the best beer I've had, period.
