Liminal Moment, in anthropological terms, is the trans-formative experience that takes place during a phenomenon called the “liminal state”. This is where we feel the aromas and flavors of the hops reset your “threshold”, a new balance. The product of seemingly endless small batch brews and a mild obsession with Lupulin, we have created a beer that defines our preference for the quintessential East Coast IPA. We brew Liminal Moment periodically throughout the year, so be sure to grab it when you see it.

Pours cloudy orange with not much head. Smells of peach and orange with perhaps some lime zest. Taste is as follows. Perhaps a little thinner than ideal but still a good thirst-quenching and flavorful beer. Tropical fruit notes everywhere on this one. Great beer well done. Will have again.

It has all the looks of a modern IPA. Poured to empty a pint can into a clear glass liter mug, there's the common overabundance of white foam. It rests on a drab liquid that's dirty blond colored. It's opaque. Unlike some, at least the foam recedes evenly, although the glass lacing is sparse. A fairly good aroma joins the experience. It brings those fruity references now common in hazies, not particularly biting, but substantial. There's not much of a specific starch to be had, but there is a trace of alcohol. It tastes a little sweeter than expected, but not fruity sweet. It's more like pastry or butterscotch pudding sweet. Pleasantly, it's not too sweet for its body. That's another mild surprise, as the body is soft, yet carries the flavors well. This one is better than average. That alcohol hit the nose got is barely noticed within the taste. There are brews that carry a little sweetness nicely and this is one.

I was strongly urged to make the drive to South County Brewery in Fawn Grove, Pa. by a friend who was given one. They had several good beers, but this one was my favorite.
I found it later at a local store and it did not disappoint. I can’t get enough of this one.

Cloudy orange-tinted yellow with three fingers of off-white head. Good retention and thick, webbed lacing.
Underripe mango, pineapple, citrus, carrot and grass.
Creamy tasting with candied orange and a little tropical fruit up front, followed by fairly strong, grassy herbal bitterness in the finish.
Thick, creamy feel with tight carbonation.
Great look and feel. The bitterness grew on me.
