Bottle from Modern Liquors -DC. Was saving for bottle share, but getting too old. Pretty smooth, in the East Coast style. Cloudy golden body, with medium airy head. Light hoppy aroma and taste, might pass for an APA in the NW. Tasty, with mild lingering finish.

Pours a golden amber with a small head from the Growler. As I enjoy the beverage, small bubbles continue to rise from bottom. Definitely an East Coast IPA, flavorful but not overwhelming.

22 oz bottle poured into a stemmed glass. Enjoying all of it, outstanding hop forward beer and lingering bitterness on the palate after each sip. Plus I'm bias since I've been to this brewery many times while living in Ashburn.

What I would expect from a boiler-plate IPA. Not bad, but nothing special

The beer pours a fairly white and foamy head that stays for a while. The beer itself is a clear golden straw color. The overall look is pretty nice but it's nothing to write home about.

The beer smell is fairly standard and balanced but still good. The smell is fairly hoppy with some grapefruit notes and a light citrus one as well. The smell also has a nice sweet malt backbone. The hop notes are strong but not overwhelming and the malt sweetness to balance out those hops help.

The beer taster is pretty hoppy and pretty bitter. The main notes are grapefruit and a citrus finish. The malts aren't as strong as they were in the smell and let the bitter hop taste overwhelm them.

The mouthfeel is pretty good but a little light for an IPA. The biting carbonation adds some nice texture to the beer but it makes lighter too. The beer is unusually refreshing.

Overall, a pretty decent IPA and worth getting. The body isn't too heavy to drink during the summer. Definitely recommended for gamers and people with girlfriends alike.
