750ml brown bottle with a freshness date.

Deep brown color, opaque with a off white lacing on top. Aromas of vinous wood, faint vanilla, tart cherries, mint, toasted bread, yeast and a hint of alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel, mild tartness, wood tannin, hint of wine, pungent cherries, cake batter, kiss of alcohol, modest hopping. Finishes with a long lingering tartness with wood and fruit and lands dry.

Seriously ... is beer is amazing, the balance of wood to tartness and the actual foundation of this beer is spot on. Each sip make me want to go back for the rest ... hard to share this bottle. ;-)

Hunt this beer down.

If this beer had an inspiration/spirit animal, I'd guess Rodenbach Alexander.

Dark burnished reddish amber, glistens in the light. Nice clarity, compact layer of tan tan foam that recedes to a ring after a couple minutes.

Distinct cherry aroma, saddle leather, oak, nice depth to it, definitely spent some time in a barrel.

Very tart and cherry forward, verging on sour. Drying oak in the finish, sour cherries linger long in the aftertaste. Easy to drink with a very light acetic presence that's perfectly acceptable for the style. Sour cherry for days. If you like La Folie, this is even more interesting.

Deep tawny pour with fine head that dissipates to fine lacing around edge of glass.. Lots of oak and sweet/sour cherries on the nose. Taste is perfect combination of sweet oaky flavors and sour tartness. Really a nice long finish as well. Doesn't overwhelm with sour and can really tell the cherries are there. Really enjoyed this much more than I expected too. Would highly recommend.
