Pours a cloudy dark golden orange color with ripe banana hues and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention taking a while to settle and leaving large streaks of soapy lacing in its wake.

Earthy, musty aroma with really strong brett presence overpowering the IPA characteristics. Lightly herbal/medicinal and almost metallic/astringent. Solvent like with overpowering brett. Underneath, there is some tropical sweetness, earthy, resinous hops and biscuity malt. The overpowering, almost chemical like brett presence is too strong for me.

Lighter end of medium body and a bit more complex than the aroma suggests. Still, the palate is dominated by musty, funky brett and subtle solvent chemical but has more tropical fruit and earthy resinous hops. Herbal medicinal dry and funky. Some juicy tropical fruit sweetness underneath with grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel. Dry bitterness lingering in the finish, complimenting the wild bugs the brett yet makes it a bit more one dimensional. Pine sap and earthy reins lingering with tongue coating bitterness. Faint alcohol booziness in finish. Gets better as palate adjusts but it's a bit dry and overwhelmingly bitter with odd brett funkiness.

this is amazing. on tap at barrels and bottles in golden, im not sure how they get such cool beer all the time, but i am thankful that they do. this is a brett heavy ipa, as funky as they come, and i think its becoming my new favorite style of beer. i just love the funk and juicy hops together, and this really brings it in both departments. hazy blonde color, big head in a globe. the nose is way funked out brett, almost acidic, with plenty of tartness and mouth watering pucker to it. its also uniquely hopped, tropical and not real bitter. the flavor shows the same features as the nose, with the brett taking the lead, its dry and wild and really intense. the hops love that juicy pucker too, and play into it with a pleasant fruitiness, passion fruit and pineapple characteristics, and a fresh vegetal complexion as well. the carbonation is really high, making this a real tickler of the palate. more than anything else i love how intensely flavored it is, one of the more dynamic hoppy beers ive had lately. the only beer in this brett ipa style i have had lately that i like more than this one i think is the one from marble down there in the southwest, but this is pretty special stuff. go have a glass before its gone down there!
