Pours a deep dark brown to black color with a finger of beige head. The nose is roasty with nice coffee notes. The flavor is deep and roasty with notes of coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The mouthfeel is quite sticky and the body is full.

Exceptional coffee stout. Dark, dark brown with a slight medium brown head that dissipates quickly (my one and only qualm). Intense aromas of chocolate icing, roasted coffee, and a bit of malt carry through across the palate. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily thick and plush, invigorated slightly by the gentle carbonation. The flavors and body are absolutely spot-on. [on tap]

On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a collar of dark beige bubbles around the edge of the glass and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste has strong flavors of cold brew coffee.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very coffee-forward beer, and tastes more like a coffee than a stout. It hides its alcohol very well. This would make for a good beer to start off the morning with.

10 oz serving tasted in a snifter from draft at Beer Bazaar on March 9, 2018. Imperial Stout blended with Sump Coffee. Tons of coffee aromas and flavors.

Poured from standard 750mL bottle into 20 oz high-gravity imperial glass. Bottled 1/16/18.
Look: Pours solid black, and has appearance of syrup being poured. Head is half inch thick which forms quickly, but then dissipates leaving moderate lacing on glass. Beer maintain slightest ring around glass at all times.
Smell: Roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee. Get a slight hint of booze on the nose, but not off putting.
Taste: Outstanding. Roasted malts up front, with coffee bean undertones. After you swallow, the coffee lingers in the aftertaste, with a presence of chocolate. What an awesome tasting beer. Alcohol is nowhere to be detected.
Feel: Thick and full-bodied. Has a good heft to it which is evident on the tongue. Creamy and incredibly smooth. Slight alcohol burn as you swallow, but not harsh at all. Can't believe how well the booze is masked.
Overall: This beer totally lives up to they hype. I had high expectations, and it surpassed them. The taste and feel are everything I could ask for in a coffee stout. Incredible, and thankful I got to try. Cheers!

On tap at Spokeasy Public House

A: Pours dark brown dark brown with a frothy dark chocolate brown head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a few spots of lace.

S: Roasty, chocolate, a little spice, coffee, earthy, and a little dark sugar.

T: Roasty, smooth coffee, rich dark chocolate, a touch of peppery spice, earthy, super faint dark fruit, molasses, and burnt sugar.

M: Full body, somewhat mild carbonation, creamy smooth, just the faintest hint of warmth as it goes down, holds its % beautifully.

O: Was expecting a little stronger coffee, but as it sits it's a really nicely balanced rich imperial stout.

Wonderful coffee flavor backed by a nice layer of sweet chocolate. Smooth with just enough carbonation. Pumped to finally get my hands on this one after years of pining for it.
