Growler into pint glass. Pours an inky, viscous black with a thick, dark-tan head. Initial impression is a brief interlude of dark chocolate, almost immediately blossoming into milk chocolate and coffee. Delicious. Reminds me of eating brownie mix before it's baked. Mouthfeel is thick and fairly smooth; carbonation is just sufficient to enhance the flavors. Alcohol is extraordinarily well hidden. Finish reverses the initial process, gradually fading to a slight dark chocolate bitterness.
This is very, very good stuff!

On tap at Beerworks in Medford, OR. A really fine coffee stout - very coffee indeed! I love espresso and I love big stouts, so this is right down my alley. Nose seems a little muted, but the taste knocks it out of the park. Definitely holds its own with some of the best breakfast stouts from Mikkeller and Founders, and, in my book, that’s saying a lot!

Pours a deep dark brown to black color with a finger of beige head. The nose is roasty with nice coffee notes. The flavor is deep and roasty with notes of coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The mouthfeel is quite sticky and the body is full.

Exceptional coffee stout. Dark, dark brown with a slight medium brown head that dissipates quickly (my one and only qualm). Intense aromas of chocolate icing, roasted coffee, and a bit of malt carry through across the palate. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily thick and plush, invigorated slightly by the gentle carbonation. The flavors and body are absolutely spot-on. [on tap]

On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a collar of dark beige bubbles around the edge of the glass and a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of cold brew coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste has strong flavors of cold brew coffee.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very coffee-forward beer, and tastes more like a coffee than a stout. It hides its alcohol very well. This would make for a good beer to start off the morning with.

10 oz serving tasted in a snifter from draft at Beer Bazaar on March 9, 2018. Imperial Stout blended with Sump Coffee. Tons of coffee aromas and flavors.
