Had on draft at Lures Bar & Grille. This beer lives up to the hype and then some. Pours pitch black with very little head and has huge coffee aroma and flavor with some dark chocolate as well. Alcohol is nearly unnoticeable. The mouthfeel is thick and viscous, possibly more so than any other beer I've had - incredible.

Poured from 750ml bottle into glass. Bottled on '01.16.17'. Label note advises consumption within 60 days of bottling for "ideal flavor and aroma". Label reads as 10.6% ABV.
Opaque, black colored body. Minimal tan head which sticks around as a ring and scattered islands. Just a very few spots of lacing.
Aroma of strong dark roasted malts and coffee. Chocolate appears too.
Massive taste of dark roasted malts and coffee. Marshmallow/vanilla chocolate mix in.
Fully mouth coating and smooth/creamy mouth feel. No bitterness, but only mildly sweet. ABV is there as a hint but mostly hidden.
A super supreme sipping beer. All aspects of aroma, taste, and mouth feel are enjoyable.

750 mL bottle poured into ale glass.

L: 2F brown head with decent retention, but still fades leaving nothing due to the ABV. Beer is jet black.'

S: Quite basic. Coffee, cocoa, roasted malts. But this is basic done quite well.

T: Follows nose. Nothing fancy, but nice coffee and persisting cocoa notes over a bed of roasted malts. ABV nicely hidden.

F: Medium to full-bodied, yet quite drinkable. Not much carbonation to speak of. Very solid construction and balance. Could be top-tier with aging, but very solid right now.

O: It's great. Should be for the price, but it delivers.

Growler into pint glass. Pours an inky, viscous black with a thick, dark-tan head. Initial impression is a brief interlude of dark chocolate, almost immediately blossoming into milk chocolate and coffee. Delicious. Reminds me of eating brownie mix before it's baked. Mouthfeel is thick and fairly smooth; carbonation is just sufficient to enhance the flavors. Alcohol is extraordinarily well hidden. Finish reverses the initial process, gradually fading to a slight dark chocolate bitterness.
This is very, very good stuff!

On tap at Beerworks in Medford, OR. A really fine coffee stout - very coffee indeed! I love espresso and I love big stouts, so this is right down my alley. Nose seems a little muted, but the taste knocks it out of the park. Definitely holds its own with some of the best breakfast stouts from Mikkeller and Founders, and, in my book, that’s saying a lot!
