The beer hits of vanilla, along with a chocolate, coffee milk shake. The combination of sweetness, rich creaminess, nuttiness, and mocha offers reminders of the depth of soft coffee in Bourbon County Coffee. Compared to the base stout, the coffee is dominant, yet turns the beer into a rich, decadent, and dessert like coffee forward delight.

Bottle. Been in the cellar a while.
Poured into fluted snifter.
Deep black, barely lets any light pass through the sides. Looks the consistency of motor oil. Thin creamy tan collar of foam.
Coffee flavor is still on point, as rich as fresh regular Sump. Lots of layers of dark rich malts, bitter cocoa, sweet chocolate, and hints of distant dark fruits.
A tad under moderate carbonation, keeps the brew feeling creamy. Full-bodied.
A rich and full stout. Balanced flavors. Smooth and fulfilling.

Black color, dark brown foam. Aroma has high quality dark chocolate and caramel malt. Taste starts with really nice coffee, not too bitter, not acidic at all, really fudgy and chocolatey. Aftertaste lingers with fresh roasted coffee bitterness. Full bodied, low carbonation, really smooth on the palate. This is an excellent coffee stout, one of the best I had.

Pitch black motor oil with almost no head. Aroma and taste are more complex than regular Sump with more caramel and dark fruit in addition to the coffee and chocolate malts. Mouth feel falls off on the finish. It gets a bit watery and needs more carb, but otherwise its a great coffee stout.
