Pours a golden orange, copper like. Not only hazy but with a few pronounced floaties. Nose is sticky malt, pine gum and orange peel. As far as flavor goes this one runs the gamut of flavors from bright citrus to mellow notes of pineapple, gummy pine sap and fresh cut lumber, dank wet grass/earth. A touch hot but manageable. Medium body with a boozy finish. Truth is it was probably a touch old even tho it was a few weeks before it’s best by date.

From the bottom of the can: "BEST BY 12/19/18"

Appearance: The body is a very turbid orange-beige with low visibility. To its redemption it has a large fluffy white head wit good retention.

Aroma: Very little aroma. There is a bit of wildflower scent and some mango.

Taste: Alcohol comes to the palate first. Then there is a bit of grassy flavor. There is a slight bit of lemon in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Very little bitterness, to the point where it is noticeably absent and lacking. The beer feels soupy and difficult to enjoy.

Overall: It's not an enjoyable beer overall. It's grassy and alcoholic with a soupy texture that lacks even bitterness. It isn't very nice to look at with the floating chunks. I wouldn't drink it again and I would recommend passing on this one.

On tap. Poured a very hazy, opaque, golden orange color with a pillowy, white head of foam. It smelled of orange, grapefruit and mango. Sweet juicy flavor with a subtle piney bitterness.

Cloudy, soft yellow body; relatively thin yet lasting and sticky white head. Sweet, fruity aroma; pineapple and tangerines. Big bitterness right from the get-go; citrus rind; thin presence of mild malt; some booziness peeking through after the beer warms a bit. Heavy body; some alcohol warmth and dryness.

A good but not great beer overall. A definite bold hop presence in the aroma and bitterness with some additional alcohol burn. What detracts is its thin malt presence. But if juicy and bitter are what you're looking for, this is a beer to try.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on August 8, 2018. Brewed with flaked oats and Vienna malt grown in Chile. Dry hopped with Simcoe and a blend of American hops. Smell is pine, orange citrus and stone fruit. Feel is medium in body with a slightly bitter finish.

Released 7/12/18; drank 7/29/18 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a nice, noisy off-white head; strong lace.

Pine, lemon, caramel & faint floral notes in the nose.

Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.

Caramel, pine & grapefruit flavors; booze heat emerged as this warmed.

Old model IPA that just doesn't speak to me.
