16 oz. Can
Best By: 10/28/18

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice hazy golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, apricot), some diesel like. The taste is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, apricot), some diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

My first Perennial beer ever! Excited but was somewhat hoping for more. Here's my thoughts:
Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-cloudy yet bright yellow to orange color with a quickly dissipating little white foamy cap of a head. Left some wispy semi-thin coat of lace arranging fairly tight around my glass.
The aroma had a nice blend of fresh sweet sprucy pine then an apricot/mango meshed marmalade-like sweetness. Fresh lemon scented cake lying in the backbone.
The flavor yields towards the sweet side initially but develops with a firm bitterness coming from some piney-ness. Moderately dry and hoppy bitter in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation and ABV felt on par. Good semi-sticky and a slight firm bitter dry finish.
Overall, pretty good DIPA I could come back to.

L: 2" head, disappears rather quickly, flocculation throughout the body, and lemon shandy to color

S: Very stonefruit. Mango, pear, pineapple, and apricot.

T: True to the nose. The yeast strain reminds me of heady topper in that it has that classic classic english breadiness to it. Tastes of lemon, apricot, mango, etc. Very tart citrus fruits in here.

M: Surprisingly medium body for an 8% beer, nice carbonation, a bit of an ammonia lingeringness to it on the back end, finishes dry and tart.

O: A good beer. I disliked the ammonia esther's on the backend, it reminds me of spraying windex. I've had this from blood orange Hefe's, so it could just be my taste profile. Additionally, I would have liked a breadier yeast in here. I really loved the hop profile. Overall I'll drink this because it has so much going on that you can pick what you like.

Pours a golden orange, copper like. Not only hazy but with a few pronounced floaties. Nose is sticky malt, pine gum and orange peel. As far as flavor goes this one runs the gamut of flavors from bright citrus to mellow notes of pineapple, gummy pine sap and fresh cut lumber, dank wet grass/earth. A touch hot but manageable. Medium body with a boozy finish. Truth is it was probably a touch old even tho it was a few weeks before it’s best by date.

From the bottom of the can: "BEST BY 12/19/18"

Appearance: The body is a very turbid orange-beige with low visibility. To its redemption it has a large fluffy white head wit good retention.

Aroma: Very little aroma. There is a bit of wildflower scent and some mango.

Taste: Alcohol comes to the palate first. Then there is a bit of grassy flavor. There is a slight bit of lemon in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Very little bitterness, to the point where it is noticeably absent and lacking. The beer feels soupy and difficult to enjoy.

Overall: It's not an enjoyable beer overall. It's grassy and alcoholic with a soupy texture that lacks even bitterness. It isn't very nice to look at with the floating chunks. I wouldn't drink it again and I would recommend passing on this one.

On tap. Poured a very hazy, opaque, golden orange color with a pillowy, white head of foam. It smelled of orange, grapefruit and mango. Sweet juicy flavor with a subtle piney bitterness.

Cloudy, soft yellow body; relatively thin yet lasting and sticky white head. Sweet, fruity aroma; pineapple and tangerines. Big bitterness right from the get-go; citrus rind; thin presence of mild malt; some booziness peeking through after the beer warms a bit. Heavy body; some alcohol warmth and dryness.

A good but not great beer overall. A definite bold hop presence in the aroma and bitterness with some additional alcohol burn. What detracts is its thin malt presence. But if juicy and bitter are what you're looking for, this is a beer to try.
