Prodigal is an imperial oatmeal milk stout with a massive fudge and roast malt character. It’s a foundation for some of our favorite stouts, now here to stand on its own adorned with only a handful of cacao nibs and Madagascar vanilla beans to round out the edges.

The beer pours dark chocolate brown while the beer itself is an opaque dark chocolate black. The texture appears to be thinnish and oily.
The smell is nice and chocolate with a strong roasted malt character and hints of cocoa with a slight vanilla in the finish.
The taste has a strong fudge chocolate and caramel note. The cocoa notes are strong and come out in the finish along a vanilla note.
The feel has a heavy body with a slightly syrupy and creamy texture. There is no detectable carbonation to it.
Overall, a delicious beer.
